Ha. Someone realizes they don't have an argument anymore.

The team I'm a fan of has nothing to do with your inability to not make hypocritical posts.

What exactly is hypocritical about my post? I said nothing about the quality of any B1G OOC games. Now I'm officially done with your sorry ass.

Not sure which is funnier: The fact that this is about the 5 millionth thread on this subject OR the fact that SEC fans respond to these threads Every. Single. Time.

Gotta keep up appearances that we give a shit what other conferences think:lol:

Yeah Michigan State's OOC sucked this year but we do have Oregon next year. That might be a great game. One great offense going against a potentially great defense.

The Buckeyes OOC has sucked for two years now. Starts getting better again next year though. Some really good games lined up over the next ten years. I just hope I can make it through all of them.

I was really looking forward to playing Alabama in 2016-17, but they canceled the series so that they could book a couple of neutral site games, oh I mean, the uncertainty about the 9 game conference schedule that was just voted down 13-1 and Alabama doesn't have any games on scheduled for those years according to FBSchedules.com.

I was a little disappointed when I heard the "big" home & home series was gonna be MSU, was hoping for a bigger name. Still sucks it got cancelled instead of whichever nobody they play, would rather have MSU & a big time neutral site game. It'll be interesting to see how it all works out.

We see a thread pop up around this time every year. Getting kind of old to be real.

Yeah, I can definitely see what you are saying about Michigan State. We are a stepping stone program for the only other decent coach we have had in the last 20 years. For most of the last 20 years we have been a terrible program and offer little boost in the eyes of most voters if you beat us, especially after you went American History X on us in the Cap One game. Wait, where was I going .... Oh yeah, Michigan State is the third best team in the B1G the last 6 years. Where will we be, in two years, who knows. Maybe we will be competing for division titles, maybe we will be fighting to become bowl eligibility.

I'm getting tired of the neutral site games. Personally, I don't want tOSU to play any of them. I want the home game, at least every other year. Also, with a 9 game B1G schedule coming up we can't afford to be giving up home games for neutral sites.

Yeah, that's always the thing about these OOC games scheduled way out, you never know what you're gonna get.

Still looks better to have them on schedule than some cream-puffs though.

I would like a home and home against a big name but I don't mind the neutral site games. I like watching Bama play in ATL and Jerry en sech. The players seem to enjoy it too. As of late it seems like Bama plays with more intensity on the road than they do at home (aside from Miss. St. lol).

I think that is part of the issue. Michigan State seems to be only willing to do H&H games. We do not travel well enough and are not a big enough name to be able to pull a neutral site game, especially for one in Jerry's World. It seems the SEC has steered away from the H&H and mainly going for the neutral games. Look at the LSU/Oregon game, VTech/Bama, Bama/Michigan, and to a lesser extent Georgia/Boise St (game played in Atlanta). Hopefully we can find someone to fill the spot for those years and have it be a respectable team.

If you play a big enough opponent, you can get a two fold deal, make big money and get a recruiting boost due to playing in an area you want to recruit in, plus national exposure.

Just look at Alabama's class this coming year, current recruits coming from 13 states. Last years group was from 14 I think. Its not always about the home games and local fans, its can be about spreading around to fans from Dallas or the Atlanta Area. This one off neutral site game has been a big thing for Alabama and helps tremendously with national exposure to recruits.

I find it both amusing and sad when a poster takes the above position. They blast the hell out of a school or a conference about something and if their team or conference is a worse offender, at those same issues, and another poster brings it up, it's always, " I didn't say anything about our team or conference." And yes that is being a hypocrite!
