I know its 10 games in, but this isnt changing much. No one knows what to expect with this team. As bad as the defense is, the offense is almost as bad. 40 first downs to 9. I dont know whats worse = the final score or that stat. Hey, we did win the turnover battle. 600 plus yrds twice in one season. We have players that need to cut during the plane ride back. Garret said the effort was there. I call bullshit on that. This team quit tonight . Dez catches one pass on basically a play drawn in the sand. The funny thing was he never went back in the slot. Williams, I know he scored again and ran a nice pattern but the guy is never open. I really just cant believe what I saw tonight.

I think some, hopefully most, of us weren't in denial about what Brees was going to do to the defense. They're bad, and injuries made them even worse against New Orleans. I don't know that they can fix the defense. It'll be interesting to see if Monte keeps his job after the season, considering they fired Ryan despite injuries being a key reason the defense struggled last season.

The offense has been bad on the road for a few years now. While the'll have a good game here or there, for the most part, they seem to struggle and score in the teens.

I disagree regarding Williams ability to get open. Now what I think what he has to learn is how to be more physical and fight to catch the ball when he has to. Miles and Dez are both pretty good about that.

I don't see the offense as a lost cause, but they need to wake up before they run out of games to lose. If they're aggressive in the air, I think they can win the division. If not, I think they'll be watching the playoffs from home again.

I don't see how he can. He has successfully taken a mediocre defense and turned it into a record breakingly bad defense. What a terrible hire.

I don't think we give up on Monte this offseason. We changed from a 3-4 to a 4-3 without really devoting much in the draft or FA towards that. Allen (cut) and Heath (shouldn't be out there), anyone else that has been out there any amount of time? Add to that the DLine that should have been addressed and wasn't, so now we are putting no-name guys out there. They aren't stopping jack crap, but they are hustling and trying and working. I think we need to get a FS back there that can stay on the field and can read the backfield, and get some sort of fat-ass there in the middle to clog the running lanes and the defense will improve. We don't need to address the defensive ends, we don't need more guys getting upfield. We need middle presence so we don't have OLinemen blowing right through our DLine and taking on the MLB's. That was pissing me off more than anything last night. An Oline that isn't all-world would just push the dline around and then get right to the next level.

I love the Cowboys, have been a fan my whole life. With that said, I was embarrassed to be a fan last night. The team quit period. I know they had a ton of injuries, but there is no excuse for quitting. Dez wasn't even running, the O-line wasn't blocking, and the defense couldn't even stop the run even when they knew it was coming. The only player I thought showed up last night was Murray, and he was taken out quick due to falling so far behind. Romo was horrible as well, he was lucky the defense dropped about three INTs. The coaches had no answer to Rob Ryan's defense even though they practiced against it for 2 years. This team will be lucky to win 8 games this season, and if they do luck out to make the playoffs, it will be another laugher.:L

any changes over the bye?
hopefully getting a few back healthy. The defense is pretty much gutted when hatcher, Lee and Wilcox aren't playing. LOL at Wilcox but #38 should never do more than cover kicks at this level. Wonder why Ryan was cut....oh well, I suppose more jerry out thinking jerry with a bunch of yes men in the room.

I don't think this team quit as a group but Carter sure did with 1/2 the 4th QTR still to play. #70 sure as hell didn't, but he was getting blown off the ball cause he was to high and lost pad level. Happens when you're dog tired. 43 plays Vs 40 first downs????? WOW!

where to go? little more health would help but this team isn't all that good. Never was all that good coming into the season, BUT...the still have the best team in the NFC East. 3-0 division record is strong going into the last 6. Beating NY after the bye would be huge towards the division title. That would be an accomplishment for the Dallas Cowboys we've come to know. The true benchmark for this team would be one home playoff win. That would be the MOST any reasonable fan could hope for.

I can. I told everyone in here weeks ago we were gonna get our asses kicked by the Saints. One of the easiest bets I made all year. But yet, I'm the one who is football clueless, LMAO. Most of the other fans in here drink the Jerry Jones cool aid, I don't and never will. Hopefully we can still win the division, but with this horrendous defense, I would bet against it.

Now would be a good time to blow this whole thing up and start over. Get rid of Ware, Austin, Murray, Romo and all other big contracts and start over now, and that includes the whole coaching staff as well.

For the ones saying embarassing - I totally agree. Im sure 38 is a nice guy and plays hard but some people just arent ready for this. 20 is just as bad IMO.

I can understand game 1 vs NYG and Eli playing from behind and getting hot. Heck I can even understand playing bad a game at SD. 5 OUT OF 10 though have been flat terrible. This scheme is suppose to be a lot simpler. If thats the the case , we really have no talent or some really dumb players.

Offensively, its getting worse and worse. I think Miles definitely will help but something is wrong. Either Witten has gotten too old, Dez still only knows 2 or 3 routes, or Romo is regressing. I know if you look at his numbers they look great and all . I know Romo is not playing vs our defense but Brees had WRs open all night. I know sometimes you throw your WRs open. When we drop back to pass it looks they have 10 people in coverage.

That's what Cowboy fans have been saying for years...blow it up. The problem is that the man who puts it all back together is the same man who has turned the Dallas Cowboys into the joke we saw last night. He will never learn and this cluster f@@# of an organization we now have will never get better.

Jerry is a hell of a business man, but the Jones family is in over their head running the football end of the organization. I agree, JJ looked and sounded totally lost last night..and for good reason.

As a football person he died a long time ago. I've watched the Cowboys since 1960 and last night was the worst exhibition of Cowboys football I have ever witnessed and from the socks to the jocks it falls on him. The saddest part is the incredible amount of slack given this clown by the media.
