This game is the perfect opportunity for Michigan to show the country they are not as bad as they looked last week and they will come out with that in mind.

Michigan covers the spread.

I think @ the Big House the Wolverines pull it out. Looking like a shootout to me.

These two teams are both coached by insane people though so who knows what the hell will happen.

With Michigan's house in total disarray, I am certainly not banging on yours but do you really think Bo has a chance with a (relatively) new AD in town? It certainly looks like he is gone unless you guys can pull off a (another) miracle and make it to the CCG.

As with any program of this magnitude, it comes down to boosters. And the biggest of boosters.

I'm not completely in the "know", but have heard it is virtually a split right now amongst our biggest backers.

Our new AD really doesn't have much to do with it to be honest. He wasn't brought in to hire a football coach. He was brought in because it was time for Tom Osborne to step down. And Tom's retirement had more to do with his relationship with our Chancellor/President which I don't want to get into right now.

In short, Shawn Eichorst was not brought in to fire Bo Pelini. He was hired because he has the skills to be a great AD. If he has to hire a football coach, I have full belief he'll do a damn good job in selecting the right guy.

It's a tough choice. Changing coaches in college football is one of the riskiest (and costliest) propositions out there. It is made even tougher this year as USC and likely Texas are in the market for new coach. Unless a viable candidate is identified, I usually tend to side with the status quo. That said, I would still put heavy money on his departure. Good luck today.

Nebraska's B1G Victories are against three B1G teams with a combined B1G record of 0-13.

Michigan is 2-2 in the B1G.

I don't think I need to say anymore.

Devin Gardner gets his Heisman Moment today. Just like all scrambling QBS do against Papulini.

Michigan has made some really bad tens look good this year. I could see Nebraska pulling out a big win and saving Bo's job!!

Michigan was overhyped to start this year. IMO Gardner is not the answer at QB. He is sloppy with the football and prone to do it at the most in opportune times. Problem they have a true Freshmen backing him up. If Bellomy didn't get hurt this off season he would be the starter today IMO.

Michigan needs to win to salvage the year. Nebraska needs to lose to salvage next season. But thats arguable.

Good luck to you and your Wolverines as well. Good to see some rational people on this site.

I think Scott Frost might be on his way to Lincoln before the final gun goes off.

JFC.

What makes people think a 2 month of experience offensive coordinator can make a good head coach?

Nebraska doesn't need another inexperienced first time coordinator. Let alone an inexperienced first time head coach. He would be nothing more than a high risk gamble.

Fuck Scott Frost. Have him prove himself elsewhere.

It has much more to do than experience. Nebraska needs someone to unite and excite the program. Recruiting as well as boosters. It is a huge risk but Frost coming home would provide a spark for the program. It would then be up to him to build on that. A head coach needs to be as much of an administrator these days as a schemer.

A great football coach in the FBS world of today needs to be a great CEO. Image of the coach is nearly everything nowadays.

My biggest concern with Frost is who will he hire under him? While he has connections here and there, who would work underneath him as an assistant? A coach is really only as good as the assistants that he hires underneath him more than anything.

These were the exact same needs we had when Pelini was hired, a program in shambles by Callahan, an alumni and fanbase disengaged by the previous coach and disillusioned.

Pelini was that spark, though hindsight imo shows it was Osborne that provided this spark and re-engagement of tradition.

Frost could do this also but if he can not build a program with it's own identity (which Pelini has been unable to do) then we will be in the same shape in another 5 years.

Exactly.

"I'm a great home state guy, and everybody likes me. I've never proven a god damn thing beyond being a player and position coach. Take a 5 year gamble on me."

Jalopy is a real expert on Nebraska football alright. :L

Every proven coach I want wouldn't come to Nebraska.

I'd rather take a risk on Frost than hire an old experienced proven coach who is average at another school.

The only coacha out there I could see Nebraska getting over Frost is Tressel.

I'd take Tressel, I'd go for Art Briles....idc if they're dirty. Everyone else is doing something under the table.
