Who will be the starting QB???

Conventional wisdom points to Blake Bell, but rumblings from Norman have Trevor Knight as the starter. Either way it shakes out, it would appear there are some pretty good qbs in Norman, these days. Guess we shall see.....

I don't see Bob putting in a new guy, even if the Trevor Knight is head and shoulders above Bell.
Bob decided on Paul Thompson over a Freshman named Sam Bradford.

oh I understand just how Stoops runs things, but he has changed his ways to an extent the past couple of years. There are a number of people who really like Trevor Knight, Barry for one, so I wouldn't be real surprised if it happened.

Saw that ol' Bob Barry Jr. came out and said that Trevor Knight was going to be the starter. I haven't heard this from anyone else most importantly Bob Stoops. I beat Stoops had to be a bit pissed when BBJ came out and reported this during the news, that is...if Bob saw it.

I still think it's Blake Bell.

Stoops said in his press conference that it will be at least Thursday before he makes any decision. BBJ did make the announcement last night but I trust BBJ as much as I trust Dean Blevins. I would hope that Stoops understands that he has to put the best player on the field. He can't base this decision on loyalty. We will see.

I know that Stoops and Co see a lot more of these players then we get to see in the spring game and highlights of practice but I can't see choosing someone with no real game experience to lead the offense. I know the kid has a lot of upside but he hasn't once been tested in live game action at the D-1 level. Huge mistake in my opinion to throw him out there. I just hope Bell doesn't get a bad attitude and decide he is unwilling to come save the kid and the team out when the time comes. The kid must have made huge strides in the off season and fall practice because what I saw in the spring game wasn't what I want to start the season with.

someone like josh heupel and Jason white, before the boom boom out goes the knees, or somebody like a johnny manziel.

I just don't see Bob changing up the offensive philosophy 10 days before the season starts.

Losing Landry, and not having another bonafide gunslinger in the bullpen, would predicate a more balanced style.

Thought it would feature Bell in more option/read game, but I can see Trevor Knight being the more logical choice with his being more mobile.

Seeing the videos of Blake Bell partying at Grand Lake over the summer gave me some thought that maybe he isn't putting in the expected work.
