They should stick Joe's sullied statue in Emmert's front yard and let him figure out what to do with it & then build a new one in State College.

99% of the people out there have no idea what the significance of "coach" in those emails even means... For those people, it all but clears Joe from being involved in any coverup whatsoever.
Because many are uniformed and don't want the facts. They wanted their sensationalistic pound of flesh and got it...facts be damned. Its a TMZ world now, nobody cares if they get it right as long as they create a buzz. He admits he's uniformed and has read neither report, yet the people who listen to the stooge and people of his ilk lap it up like he's an authority. Its a shame people are too lazy to actually check the facts out for themselves and form educated opinions. At the very least everyone should read the Clemente portion of the Paterno report. Could save this sort of things from happening to a child you may know.
Jesus could come down from heaven, say Joe was innocent and did all he was able to and people like Cowturd would still tell you it was not true.
And the media frenzy happened so quick during that period. Uncritical acceptance of Freeh. Hopefully, the combination of lawsuits and this media exposure will turn the tide, and force some concessions at least.
That sounds exciting..I really hope this works out..LBU, do you think there is any chance the NCAA would react to this and lessen the sanctions due to pressure, or will it take a drawn out lawsuit?
Its not about concessions, its about taking every one of those unjust sanctions off the table....all or nothing. Like Wick sollers said, it was a cram down and they threatened PSU to sign the consent or they would give us death penalty. It was signed under duress based on a report that was never reviewed and not backed by any facts. The Paterno report has an even clearer blueprint for Corbett to hammer them and if he can't get standing, Sollers will file on behalf of the lettermen, the Paternos, the alumni and the students in a BIG lawsuit that will also look for big damages from the NCAA as well as removal of sanctions. He gave the NCAA a not so subtle heads up of as much on OTL. He's no joke, Sollers is a very high powered guy with a ton of connections. Once those emails get wiped as something far different than the assumption Freeh jumped to, the NCAA has absolutely nothing.
With all due respect, that's unrealistic. If this whole movement gains enough momentum, the most favorable scenario I see is some type of agreement that allows some face-saving for the NCAA, and a lessening of the sanctions.
