Any word on the injury status of Coles and Davis? All I've heard is rumors, but they're not sounding good.

And WhyTF are we trying to do hurry-up when 1) we're not really driving 2) that plays 100% into GT's gameplan. When we hurry-up and go three/six and out, we're just going to tire out our own defense. Ridiculous plan.

That's a good point. Against any other team on our schedule I think the hurry-up will be great, but against GT you need to use clock and give your D a rest.

heard that Coles re-entered the game late? I didn't see him myself, though... can someone confirm?

Beamer says he expects him back for AP.

Curios about Davis though. Hopefully Stanford gets some work this weekend.

Per Andy Bitter and a few others, Jack Tyler was named ACC LB of the week and Journell was specialist of the week (didnt know where to put this)

I read that Marcus Davis came back into the game after his injury (late). Think it was a hand injury ... I'm sure if it's serious, we'll hear something today about it. I'd expect to see certain players getting some rest in the AP game, namely LT and some of the defensive guys. Leal could use some reps anyhow as well as the WRs.

Davis came back and looked fine.

Coles came back and looked anything but fine. he was limping just getting into position before the snap. I really wish that he would consider a redshirt. He could be an early NFL pick with that size, but not with a year at 50%.

When was the last time we had so few rushing yards? Why the fuck did we go away from the running game after the early success?

I didnt look it up, but I bet its been a decade since we ran so few yards.

For me, its the same old shit. Head scratching play calling. Quit on the run when its working. Force a long pass on first down, when ball control, first downs. and clock management was needed.

Whose fault?

Georgia Tech was determined not to let us run. If they were going to lose, they were going to lose to Logan Thomas's arm and new receivers. This is why we were getting plenty of good looks down the field.

I know it is done, the game is over, but I have to mention it.

Did anyone catch onto Spielman and The Goober (can't remember his name) questioning the personal foul where the ball was way overthrown and the GT defender laid a helmet-to-helmet onto one of our guys (may have been Davis)?? Not saying that the DB had malicious intent, but hey it doesn't have to be. Them questioning that was a bit ridiculous IMO. That is a 15 yarder and a big fine all day in the league.

Glad we aren't hearing about it today...

Yeah ... the same play where Coach Paul Douchebag kept yelling to the refs, "What the fuck was that?" on national TV. Anyone over the age of 3 could read his lips. Such a classy fellow. I must say that it was a no-call in my book but that stuff evens out in a game usually. I didn't think that either team got robbed of the game. LT and Corey Fuller clicked on the game-tying drive. Washington made a huge mistake and lost them the game. Simple as that.

I thought the controversy was that some people thought it was a PI call, but should have been waived off for uncatchable. IMO, it was a gift on GT's part but it looked like a legit flag for the personal foul from my point of view. I don't remember the vivid details but do recall knowing immediately that it was a personal foul for a defenseless reciever and laughing at the stupid mistake the defender made.

Didn't we miss the FG on that drive though? If so, no big deal anyway.

Sure was working in the 1st quarter but after a couple of failed runs they gave up on the run almost completely. I think Stinespring and O'Cain go into every game with a plan and never veer from it no matter what they see. Or they are real idiots

I agree that our offensive staff stubbornly sticks to a game plan no matter what much of the time. I just don't think it was all that prevalent in this game. We wanted to take advantage of their shortcomings in the secondary, they wanted to take advantage of our new wide receivers and hopefully (to them) instable pass blocking. We won the battle. We will run a lot more over the next month.

I think it was important. While LT was going 21 for 38 the RBs got a combined 17 carries. Included in that 21 for 38 was the FG game tying drive where they were playing back and giving LT some throws. LT just plain sucked passing for almost the entire game but they kept putting it in the air. It's almost like Stinespring and O'Cain went into the game determined to throw the ball around because they realized that's what cost them the Michigan game. You don't keep putting it in the hands of a QB that can't hit the broad side of a barn. A good OC adjusts game to game, opponent to opponent, and IN - game. Those 2 are incapable of that because they're a couple of incompetent fucking retards
