I've asked this question before, but what exactly is the "growth" that you and others are looking for? I suggested that such "growth" can be directly attributed to experience and being more comfortable doing the job. Don't get me wrong, Howell is starter material in this league, but I have no evidence that he's potentially anything close to what some here are hoping he'll become.

i agree that is why if we do get an offensive HC, he could take a QB in round 1.

I don't have the all22 so its hard to for me to say he has repressed. Brissett can clearly see over the LOS. I wonder if that made a difference not having to find passing lanes. I believe Sam leads the league in batted balls too. I heard that a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe he's just beat to shit and a fresh able bodied QB got in there and made something happen. I dunno. I just don't want to sit here three years from now talking about the QB we passed on. Still have hope for Sam. Big test for him Sunday. Meadowlands against a good defense.
I remember a time not too long ago when poster after poster here insisted that this team continue to draft a QB until they find their guy! Now when there's an opportunity to get a high-end one, what's the mantra??? "Draft offensive linemen!" Seriously, you can't make this shit up!

I am convinced that it doesn't matter whether or not the new HC is offensive or defensive-minded. This organization is going into a complete rebuild. With that in mind, and no matter how you define "rebuild" (Do-over, new start, refresh etc) such an effort requires you to deal with the most important position on the field first. Some say that Sam IS the answer but they need to see more of what he can do with changes. OK, that's fair but it also suggests uncertainty, which means you don't stop efforts to upgrade, especially when you have the opportunity to do so.

Two things can be true at the same time my friend, They can absolutely draft a QB AND rebuild their offensive line in this draft/ free agency off-season.

I want to go o-line in free agency and the 2nd round. I want a star at a skill position that other teams have to gameplan for. (Daniels/Harrison Jr.)

Agreed! The dearth of elite-caliber playmakers is so obviously missing on this team. I have been trying to convince folks here that TM as the WR2 would instantly become the most feared WR in the league. BTW: Daniels would make our run game exponentially more potent.

Daniels would freeze the defense and Slowik off the Shanahan tree would know how to use him. Listening to Grant and Danny and they both said we don't have a top 5 player at any position.

This roster lacks elite talent. Where me and you part ways is McLaurin. I do feel he'd be a #1 on a bunch of teams, but to your point, McLaurin would be the most feared #2 in the league.

No doubt that there are teams that are desperate for help at WR and TM would be a very welcome addition, but as a WR1 here I'm afraid that I have to agree with both Grant and Danny.

Logan likes Terry but said he is primarily an outside the hashes player.

Oh no, he's not top 5. He's top 10-12 imo though.

What is Harrsion? 6'4..........How long has it been since we had one of those guys, if ever? A.J., Randy, Megatron........I'd love to plug and play a guy like that. That's why I was so disappointed with Howell's play today. Him being THE GUY gives us so many more options headed into the draft.

I wouldn't trade McLaurin for Hopkins right now.

Higgins (Give McLaurin Burrow with Chase oppsite him)

Ridley is a toss up.

Nacua is balling this year.......but are you really ready to say he's better than Terry?

He's had a down year for sure though.

I listed 18 guys, and of those, you selected 5 (I'm giving you the toss-up Ridley) which leaves 13 and translates to him being ranked with your participation in this, somewhere below 13, not 10-12. Btw; the second-tier list, because of more toss-ups, pushes him further down the ranking than that.

Another situation where competent evaluation is needed. Not sure that some guys weren't misused or not seen. I don't love a QB in this draft but there are other ways to get guys if need be. They need to take a hard look at ALL of the positions.

Yeah, I agree. I do think rating him based off of by far his worst year is a little unfair.
