That one I don't get either. Yeah Karlsson had the amazing season but the last few prior mirrored Pesce offensively but w/o the defense.
I hope the Canes make that move and put themselves in cap hell.

On the other hand Karlsson coming to Pittsburgh makes sense. They would subtract garbage and bring in yet another old player to ride off into the sunset with Crosby/Malkin and Letang.

Seriously I would rather have Pesce at this point.

Agreed. The talk is that its either CAR or your guys. Not to discount a 100+ season, but was it an outlier? Not a gamble I would take, but Dubas has a bit of a history for taking gambles......
