Let me be clearer, Fitzpatrick is a real nice signing because they aren't committed to anything and have kept all options on the table. What those options are will be made clearer as we progress through this off-season. How's that in terms of telling something without revealing particulars?

The real problem is having to settle for the "remotely good" decade after decade. So there's that!

I'm in the camp of "good for now" and i fully expect them to address long term qb in the first couple rounds of the draft.

I joined this board after spending some time on the old ESPN one, that was way back in 2012-2013 and if there's one thing that I've come to realize, it's that this board is way overdue for a huge dose of optimism. Good to know that there are still posters who aren't totally jilted or hopelessly resigned to expect mediocre or worse from this franchise.

BTW: let's agree to not get too hyped and that changing "about to happen" to "going to happen." tempers expectations from a more immediate timeframe to one that allows for a bit of time to pass.

I just looked at Heinicke tape from Carolina and TB and I'm very optimistic.
The pass catchers dropped wide open passes for TDs several times

There remains a chance Washington could move up in the NFL Draft and grab one of the draft's top quarterbacks.
