Hopefully the other SEC teams take this as a cue to do as the Bammers do.
Bammers are doing what some of the other SEC teams are already doing. Check out the post above for the SEC teams that have already been scheduled like that. Can't speak to UF and UTjr because they are generally pussies.

Saban won't be there. Day will likely still be there though.

Vanderbilt's an up and coming SEC juggernaut. Right @HammerDown?

:rockford:
I'm surprised you can spell juggernaut.

Juggernaut? While competing in the most dominant conference in the history of college athletics as one of the top academic schools in the world? I think you're asking a little much, even of Vanderbilt.

Going up to Rocky Top and stomping Tennessee annually is all I ask.

Why wouldn’t it? Both teams are consistently good. Bama has won a National title in every decade but the 80’s and has been a juggernaut except from 1995-2007 when we got back2back sets of crippling Sanctions. Ohio State is ALWAYS good too. These are the 2 biggest Brands in the sport and it should be awesome.

We owe them a couple of ass whippings after what happened in 2014
Never said they were going to bad, that they wouldn't be at the top like they are now, practically being the de facto teams for the Playoffs. In 2027-2028 I simply see more competing/contending for the Playoffs and are at equals with Bama/OSU

Wonder if it was Saban who does not want to travel. They do have Wisky and OSU on schedule but will he be there for either?

We literally play at Texas in 2022 and have already played at Penn State. Saban will be around until he is 75 which is 7 more seasons

I don't think I'd want him there that long.... He's still one of the best coaches, but hard pass on a 70 year old coach

Bama has played a good OOC, mostly with the neutral site kickoff games. That was a smart move by Saban. They also have typically played in the most difficult division. They certainly have a very good OOC in the future.

Again, all the good teams are doing this ... when you are playing 2 and 3 really good OOC on top of an SEC schedule and an SECCG, you have to know that there will be at large spots available or it doesn't make sense.

You could probably make an argument based on TV viewership. I'd bet money that over the past 5 or so years, OSU and Bama have the highest viewership.

I've never seen a ranked list of the "biggest brands" for college football. Just wondering what the criteria for "the two biggest Brands" would be. Viewership could definitely be one of them.

Yeah, probably multiple criteria, including money, viewership, and others.

They are both undeniably top 5, with cases to be made for top

Emory Univ study that interestingly leaves out some of the big boys: Study Ranks the 10 Best Fan Bases in College Football

Not surprisingly, the same names keep coming up.

The most interesting thing to me is how UT, TAMU and UM are at the top of most of these lists, and yet they have so little to show for it.

That post contains an astonishing lack of originality, creativity and/or entertainment value.

No doubt those names keep coming up in all those lists. But, there are wayyyyy more than two that keep coming up. Definitely Bama and tOSU are top brands. I was just asking what made them "the" two biggest brands.

That is a good question. Similar to the Dallas Cowboys being the "best" franchise in the NFL. Seems like the dominant criteria in that situation is how much money you make, not how much success you have on the field.

Ohio State and Bama have had much better success on the field than Jerry's cowgirls.
