Virginia Tech 2014 Recruiting Target List

Hand has a solid background, positive people in his inner circle, and he is a smart, high character kid, but he is not a "lock" to VT at this point. We do sit very favorably but he has only visited 2 schools (VT twice and Bama for a camp). He will have his choice of any school in America so it will be a battle but I really like where VT sits right now.

"lock"???? who said lock??? having confidence this kid will make the choice to goto VT or even a school similar because opinions are not often changed easy... I think he already senses that some of these SEC teams would probably take there offer away if he blew his knee out tomorrow (Benedict). The fact that he likes foster as a recruiter tells me he doesn't like coaches that will sell him the dream, but I cant read his mind just kind of the vibe I get from listening to this kid speak... he seems to be very mature as to what he's looking for in a school whenever he decides to make a decision, and I think AUTHENTICITY is one of those things. BTW I think we can all take solace to the fact UVA won't be getting him

I think distance helps VT in this case as well. I got a sense that Alabama was just too far for him. We'll see if that remains a factor.

Gotta love his size, but this quote stands out to me: "Adly Enoicy 2014 WR Delray Beach Atlantic 6’5” 215: Enoicy had a good tournament, but he has a tendency to leave you wanting more from him. He is so big and tall he should be more of a dominate factor in this type of setting." The same article also has this: "Giovanni Aris 2014 WR Delray Beach Atlantic 5’9” 165: Aris was Atlantic’s best receiver. He is quick, has good hands and was impossible to cover the whole tournament." I'm sure Torrian has been / will be looking at both.

A lot of the 2014 offers will go out after game film comes out of the first few games this season. Also, the staff really likes for a player to visit before offering, sometimes that is not an option, but it is usually preferred.

Possibly, the main thing helping VT is he has an inner circle that knows what the recruiting process is like and knows what to look for. He, as well as his family, think very highly of the staff at VT. The fact VT got his first ever college visit is big because he will always compare the other schools to VT, and other recruiters to Bud and the rest of the staff. Hand has a great support system and a solid head on his shoulders, so whatever decision he makes will be one that is fully thought out and puts him in the best situation to get a solid degree and play top notch football.

Bucky has a big influence on and off the field. People want to be around him and play with him, he will quietly bring some people with him to VT you can bet on that!

yeah brown said on the rivals video that the salem guys stay in his ear, sonded like more than others, and i'm sure he wasn't the only OL guy at the game. and with nnadi looking at us more, plus the 2013 kid, brown could be surrounded by hokies before you know it he'll join us to.
