how old is he?

22

He's really just getting started on all of the other stuff he needs to learn. He says that he probably wouldn't be ready for his first real fight until maybe summer of next year.

But you don't just disagree, you actively and boringly troll nonstop with endless last word slapfights. Be better
I mean- the tedious and grinding nature of it- would prob. be effective if not for the fact that the 2 people its aimed at really have nothing better to do and are just as stubborn.

I would at least like to think that mine- or your "trolling" at least usually has some humor.

Atlanta going to be a playoffs team so I wouldn't call them lowly. Doesn't change the fact that they have looked good. I don't think they're going to forget how to play basketball when they play the better teams. The only guaranteed lottery team of the 4 teams they played is Memphis. With the Warriors situation, it isn't a lock that the Wolves don't make the playoffs.

Hawks will be a playoff team MAYBE, and only if the bar is low in the East. They will get there eventually, but they truly aren't a contender this year. With the Wolves, again you're dealing with a team that COULD make the playoffs if other teams fall on their faces. It's good to beat those teams, but not impressing me yet.

getting the shit beat out of your for a living with a very small probability of any kind of real award unless you are in the upper 1% of fighters seems awful i gotta say.

I mean if you dont have options--- i guess its more palatable , but geez. Risking that type of bodily trauma and injury seems awful.

Your trolling is never funny, because you take all this stuff so seriously. But at least you try sometimes, and you know your shit. If you toned down the hypocrisy and irrational hatred of certain teams you'd be a good poster. I'm rooting for you.

My son started MMA training 2-3 months ago. According to his trainer, he has a decent shot.

He's been doing Tae Kwon Do since he was about 8 or 9, so apparently his kicks are as good or better than most of the guys out there now.

His Mom isn't real happy about it though. lol

moms usually ain't...

went through the same thing with both my kids(ESPECIALLY my daughter). but always wanted both of 'em to be able to take care of themselves. so i won out...

I'm inclined to agree. But he loves it.

He has plenty of other options and is currently also in school, but like I said, he loves it and wants to give it a shot.

He's young enough and smart enough that if he doesn't do well enough to make a living, he can "tap out" and have a good career doing something less violent. lol

I liken it to when I was about the same age a dreaming of playing in the NFL.

I knew the the potential consequences, but considered it worth it if I could make it that far. Unfortunately, I got to college and realized that I didn't have the speed to play the positions I had the size to play.

Funny thing is, Tae Kwon Do was his Mom's idea. I don't think she thought it would turn into him wanting go to do MMA for a living.

Probably won't let her go to any fights he may have. Don't want her doing this if he's losing a fight:

Occasionally. And occasionally you make foolish comments like calling out a guy for missing a game without knowing why he missed the game.
