There is proof she lied, no proof he hurt her.

But you think he abused her, not that she lied.

And yet there is no proof that he did not put his hands her either and none of you have been able to show absolute facts that he did not touch her.

And for the record I never said he abused her. I said he put his hands on her. I do not think Zeke has a patterned behavior of abusing women. I think in this instance he got provoked and fell for it and was stupid enough to put himself in a violatile situation on several occasions.

The lack of proof he put his hands on her is all you need. You can't prove something didn't happen unless you can prove it did. :L

Oh so that makes it ok? Go fuck yourself homer.
You fucking idiot. This conversation has NOTHING to do with him partying in college. Nice way to try and deflect when you realize you've been exposed as a dipshit, but you missed the mark.

But you think he abused her, not that she lied.

Eye witness testimony, or in this case victim testimony, is evidence. The question is how credible that evidence is. Obviously, there are many people who do not believe the alleged victim. But it is indisputably true that the following argument is false:

I know Person X lied once, therefore Person X has never told the truth.

We have all lied at some point in time. Probably not during a police investigation. But just because Zeke’s victim lied at some point in time doesn’t mean that she lied about everything. It’s easy for Cowboys fans to discount every word she said. It lets them ignore the possibility that one of their best players is an awful person.

Whatever helps you guys sleep at night.

There was no eye witness testimony that Zeke touched her.

This is not possible you fucking idiot. There's just as much proof that YOU hit this woman as there is that Zeke did. Hell, there's actual testimony refuting her story of him hitting him, so there's actually more evidence that you hit her than that Zeke hit her.

Just fuck off already.

And how about the "eyewitnesses" that were there the night she said he beat her in the car that said she lied? Is that not evidence?

You make it sound like this woman wanted to get the shit beat out of her so she could cash in on some theoretical lawsuit against Elliott. Who knows what her motivations were. According to her, she got beat up by a world class athlete who is twice her size. This is not a simple “Zeke made a mistake” situation. He is either a complete shitbag or the girl is lying. I don’t think there is a middle ground here. It comes down to who you believe.

You know nothing of this case, got it.

She got the shit beat out of her in an unrelated incident, at a bar, by another chick. Witnesses back this up. Her texts to a friend saying she was going to get Zeke back for ditching her, back this up.

You are correct, there is no middle ground. There are facts, and there are Cowboy haters.

It is. It certainly cuts against her credibility. But to be honest, there are rarely eye witnesses to actual abuse and it turns into a situation of he said, she said. It is possible she was actually beaten by Elliott, tried to get people to lie to bolster he case, and got caught. Who knows.

I don’t want to get caught up in the details. This isn’t a criminal court. We don’t need evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. The question for me is whether I think it’s more likely than not that Elliott beat the girl up. I think it is. And that’s all Goodell had to think in order to suspend him.

You don't want to get caught in the details because the details don't back up your opinion. I get it, no one likes to be told they are wrong. So stick your head back in the sand.

No one that actually looked at the evidence thinks he did it. But you do. Speaks volumes.

I know plenty about the case. She provided photographic evidence of bruises to investigators. Investigators determined the bruises in some of the photos were not a result of the bar fight.

Based on the timeline constructed, the NFL determined it was likely that Elliott caused some of the bruises.

But go ahead and try to mislead people. Your star running back is a jerk that treats women like crap. He will be out of the league in a couple of years.

Because you're an Eagles fan. It's either that or you hate due process.

And bringing Goodell into this only weakens any argument, considering he went AGAINST the actual NFL private investigator who said there were no grounds for suspension.

@fordman84 is right. There are facts, and there are Cowboys haters.

Roger Goodell suspended him. His opinion is all that matters here.

I don’t want to get caught up in the details because they are a distraction to the big picture: Elliott beat up a girl that his half his size.

if they found that evidence they would have charged him. That isn't what they found at all. Neither did the NFL.

Goodell suspended Zeke because he needed the optics of it. Couldn't have another start RB woman beater appear to skate.

And here comes that Cowboy hatred that you foster.

My fiancee has a huge bruise on her shin from this weekend when she slipped climbing back into the pontoon boat on the lake. Does that mean that if she shows investigators and says I did it, that I'm instantly guilty in your eyes?

Or would I have to play for Dallas for you think that?

The details say he didn't hit her. That's why you don't want to get into them.

LOL Goodell suspended him against the judgement of the actual authorities AND his OWN PERSONAL INVESTIGATOR, which clearly means Zeke beat up a girl.

No, I just tend to believe victims of domestic violence and I understand that the actions they take don’t always seem rational to an outside observer, and sometimes seems contradictory or undermines their allegations. The psyche of a DV victim is complicated. Many people don’t believe them. It’s a sad situation.
