It has to be something for this guy to get zero votes.

Only 30 coaches vote and they pick only one person. Look around the league, it’s easy to see why a coach might pick another coaching performance over Stevens for the regular season. Especially since the Celtics had a pretty average second half of the season.

Plus, I’d guess that a lot of these coaches don’t think highly of college coaches and/or just don’t have an established relationship with a guy like Stevens. Are you going to vote for a coach who had a good year and who youve known for 20 years or a guy you barely know? Pretty simple explanation for why he didn’t get votes. In my opinion.
