Dame went to the Owner during the Season to talk about the direction of the team.

If they get bounced, does he request a trade?

No, he requests McCollum gets traded for more help. 3rd place finish in the West isn't anything to sneeze at.

yah i have no doubt about the above bolded

I would be MORE than willing to bet you that Redick signs a deal for over 10M a year AND that if LeBron goes to Philly that Reddick will not be there.

You win if EITHER of these things happen--- Reddick gets less than 10M a year--- or Reddick resigns with the Sixers if LeBron is with the Sixers.

I win if--- LeBron signs with the Sixers and Reddick is gone--- or if Reddick gets a contract averaging over 10M a year.

We pick eachothers avatar for a month.

Deal?

I have no idea where Lebron is going to go.

I don't usually do avi bets. But I will when it comes to Reddick. He isn't going to get more than $10 million a year. Unless it is a one year deal again which is unlikely. 34 year old specialists don't get their biggest contracts.

Lou Williams took 8 mil.

Market set.

Yeah. The Sixers aren't going to give him another front loaded contract. I can't imagine any other team would.

In reality, Reddick would be very lucky to get 7 million a year especially on a multiyear.

Basketball related question.....

Who is most likely to get swept?

Blazers, Wizards, Bucks or Spurs?

I'm going Wiz.

I think the Spurs pride will enable them to survive for a gentleman's sweep.

Midlevel is 8.8.

I can see a team giving him that.

But, probably not for 4-5 years.

He could get more on mercenary 1 year deals.

But, I think he wants to be in Philly.

I would be surprised if he does. I think he's a part of the problem. He jacks up way too many bad shots. He is especially guilty of this when he's made a few already.

Another thing he does is plays into the defenses hands when he shoots too early into the shot clock. He needs to think more like a PG. Settle down some, let the defense show you something & then react to that.

I feel like if he made better choices as that teams leader they would follow suit & it could start creating better habits all around. He needs to think about what type of leader it would take for this team to excel & try to be that. What I currently see is him worrying too much about trying to prove himself. To who? For what?

Well if you live in a land of reality, realistically, where can he go and what sort of offer do you think he receives? At least with my narrative, I've put in value to other teams having limited cap space. It's not a hometown discount, or even a discount at all much less if you don't have other competitive offers to compare it to.
I think he will EASILY get a 2 year 24M deal. I dont even think thats a question.

The market is definitely not what it was a couple years ago---- but a ace sharp shooter like him will always have substantial value. Korver is ancient and gets about 7.5 a year.

And I think the Bucks are getting swept this year. Which is disappointing because I thought they'd make it to the 2nd round - until Bos starting playing out of their minds! lol

Yes, but from who? You think he'll leave Philly for a 2 year 16M to go to say Atlanta or Brooklyn for 2 years 24? At 34 years old?

You had bird rights to exceed the cap.

Sixers don't have that luxury if they are planning to chase a big fish.

If they can't land a whale, they can circle back for the guppies.

agreed on the Spuds. Pop's too good a coach and i definitely think they get 1 in San Antone. probably won't be til game 4...

the Pelicans have seemingly snuffed the Blazers out at the heart, and yeah, the Wizards unfortunately don't look like they belong...

so i'm kinda with you. probably the Wiz, but the Blazers to me look like a close second...

Given the way shooters usually are able to continue to hold value over time, I can see a 3 year deal being realistic. I don't think teams will want to give him much more than that. Hell the Warriors almost lost Iguodala because they only wanted to give him a partial guarantee on the 3rd year. When they finally guaranteed the final 3rd year is when he decided to come back.

Bledsoe, Ugly Snell are getting OWNED.

Parker, Maker have given them zilch.

Only guys earning their checks are Freak, Brogodon and Middleton.

Shabazz has chipped in a bit.

I think he will take every last dollar. The percentage of NBA players that dont take every last dollar is not high thats for damn sure. Its why there was such a stink when Lou resigned with LAC and people freaked out that he got a terrrible deal. It just doesnt happen that often. It is without a doubt the exception and not the rule.

If someone gives him say 3 years 40M guaranteed years, I think he'd be foolish not to accept it regardless of who it is. But if the range is limited to 9-12, well at 34 I think he'd be slightly more inclined to take less to try to win a ship.

He's made almost 80M in his career.

Yeah, it's possible he could get 3.

Totally agree on him not going mercenary for a few extra bucks.

I think he'd be open to compromise if it lands a guy like LeBron.
