Agree, they shouldnt over think this. But I have also been saying for a while, we need to add a FA D-line starter AND draft Payne or Vea. Really fixing the Defense starts with fixing the front seven finally.

Richardson is going to command over 10m annually. I don't think the Skins have the room to sign him. Logan could still be in play on a cheap deal. I agree it should be Payne or Vea at #13. Like I said before we only need a NT either the draft pick or Logan to improve this line.

Logan was a beast on the Eagles. I always thought he was very underrated when he played for the Eagles. He wasnt that great for the Chiefs last year though on a 1 year prove it deal.

I think the skins should offer a similar 1 year prove it deal to him. At worse he is an upgrade from Ziggy Hood and provides more depth.

Again.. we run a 4 man line 60-65% of the time. Carrying only six is risky at best, asking for guys to tire out as we have seen all too often at worst.

The sub package last year was Allen, Ionman, RK and PS as the ends. Now if we get Payne or Vea at #13 that would mean they rotate with Ionamn on passing downs.

As far as Base package. Im predicting Allen, #13, pick and Mcgee as the 3 down lineman. The good thing about Vea is he is a 3 down player. So is Payne. So the only problem that we would run into if both those guys are gone when we pick at #13.

I do not remember 7 lineman dressing last year.

So even if we do lose out on Logan, I think we are fine.

A lot of the time we are in 4 down lineman we are the two ends are OLBers in the 3 -4 so in effect we are in a 4-2-5 or something like that. Not always those, true of football today there are so many packages so sometimes we are in an old timey 4-3-4. The league is so mix and match these days it just depends. I would love to see the team have a road grader up front in the middle. With ZB back we might just be hard to run against up the middle.

But I also think that having the horses to flex these guy out to the end and STILL rotate the rest of the line would be a better solution than skimping at the position which we have done for quite a while.

Plus Murphy is gone, Gallette has not resigned yet. And I still think we need two more dominant players on the line rotation currently.

I agree and disagree. I think we do need the horses to flex these guys out to the end

I think the depth needs to come from edge rushers not defensive tackles. I think 6 healthy lineman should be enough to rotate the front 3 and if we go into the season with Anderson backing up Kerrigan and PS thats it we could be in trouble.
