All of this makes sense, however, LBJ doesn't like to play within a "system" - so do they really stand a chance landing him?
I think it depends on the system. The Lakers system, like the Warriors, is based on sharing the ball and not being overly dependent on 1 player.
From what we've all read and heard, Lebron has been looking to lighten his load since at least year 3 in Miami.
Why wouldn't a system that is designed to lighten everyone's load and is based on sharing the ball (which Lebron prefers to do appeal to him?
Also, as Phil Jackson (who Luke played for and who first mentored him in coaching) used to say, you let a superstar operate outside the system when necessary. So, Lebron would play within the system but have the freedom to play outside of it when necessary.
