Gretzky update - He's at Staples Center tonight for the Oilers - Kings game and yes, he's drunk again.

Q. Why is Wayne slurring all his sentences?
A. Because you miss 100% of the shots you don't drink

On a more serious note, I don't know who the head monkeys are at Sportsnet, but they should feel shame for embarrassing one of the greatest players to ever lace up a pair of skates by putting him on air when he clearly didn't have all his faculties.

haha, yeah I was watching that and it was actually a bit painful to see. He was slurring his words, incoherent and just rambling all over the place. kinda sad

Just once I'd like to see an NHL team go as batshit crazy at the trade deadline as the Cavaliers are in the NBA today.

Like, let's just see Washington make 8 trades of everybody not named Ovechkin just for the fucking hell of it because nothing else has worked in ten years.

Got to think if the Caps don't win the Cup again this yr. they may make a few moves. Backstrom, Carlson, maybe even Holtby.

Maybe they'll fire Trotz and the Flames can scoop him up.

Well, they signed Brendan Smith this offseason to a 4 year $17.4M. They waived him today. Nothing says a Ranger rebuild like wasting money.

Remember what Sather said when he was the Oilers - Give me the Rangers payroll and I'll win the Stanley Cup every year - Rangers fans are still waiting for the first Cup Glen.

You misspelled "Jackets".

You can have MacLellan.

I look forward to them building around the leadership of Jack Johnson and Brandon Dubinsky.

Just gonna call it now, ten dudes tops get traded from this list. That's 25%. And none of them will be Jeff Skinner. This is some straight Eklund shit lol.

Jeff Skinner joins TSN’s Trade Bait board - Article - TSN

I wouldn't mind seeing Letestu come back.

I would be very surprised to see Jenner move. Johnson, Dubinsky and Calvert are as good as gone. Guys like Hannikeinen, Milano, and Sedlak should watch out too. I could see them added into a deal for someone the Jackets really want.

Ryan Murray was back on the ice for full contact practice today. With Carlsson, Nuutivaara and Kukan playing well, his return could be curtains for Savard too. But his contract is a bit of an albatross. Depends on how bad the Habs want a French D man named Savard for Patches. :)

Give it a few weeks and hopefully that team is the Rangers.

Drury wasnt awesome but he was productive and the injuries finally got to him. At least with Gomez we were able to unload him and got something back. Sather has been a waste of money for like 20 years now.

If Toronto doesnt go hard for McD I can see them trading for Johnson.... there is no way Dubs is coming back to NY unless he is a throw in... Nash maybe.

EDMONTON – With a growing number of concerns about the dangers of playing hockey, several notable names are speaking out against the associated risks, including NHL superstar Sidney Crosby. When reached for comment on the issue, Crosby simply stated, “I would never let my children play hockey. The risk of getting drafted by Edmonton is too high. Any parent would be devastated to know there was something they could have done to prevent such a terrible fate.”
