Umm...... Congratulations...... I guess........

A hearty congratulations to Washington State linebacker Logan Tago for being awarded the Fall 2017 CCE Community Involvement Award! Tago notched an impressive 240 hours in the community during the Fall semester.

Why did he spend the equivalent of ten days doing community service? Turns out it was part of a plea deal Tago accepted last January, where he pleaded guilty to third-degree assault in order to get felony robbery charges dropped. Tago was arrested in Sep. 2016 after a man accused him of stealing a six pack from him on the street and hitting him in the head, apparently leaving him concussed. He was temporarily suspended by the school and team, and later ordered to serve 30 days in Whitman County jail and perform 240 hours of community service, which he has now earned an award for.

All I can figure is the rest of the team must routinely go out and strangle dolphins with those plastic coke can rings or something.

Naw, that football team can't beat you up on the field so they typically beat up their own classmates on campus instead. It's kind of their deal.

He got the sentence because Pullman wanted the whole thing going away with all the negative press they got for targeting Students of Island descent.

Ya, it was an asshole thing to do and deserved punishment but that kid deserved more than a "concussion".

You aren't helping yourself or your school's image. They had film of several of those incidents. On video. And weren't kicked off the team, more or less served the jail time they deserved to.

Stop excusing stupidity. He didn't deserve any type of award or recognition for doing community work when that work was required by the courts as payment for crimes committed and convicted of.

I'm not excusing any stupidity, I said Tago deserved jail time. But the frat boy deserved what he got, just like frat boy deserved what Barber gave him. Yes, it's harsh and blah blah, back in the day you don't pick a fight with a dude to show off, then get your ass handed to you and lie and cry about it. In both incidents there were 9 frat boys to 3 football players, yes the football players were the ones who are the bad guys.

I also said the award is stupid and only reason he got it was because Pullman wants the whole racism thing to go away and idiotically thought giving an award wouldn't revisit the ordeal.

Fvck them. I'll never forget how they flipped Marlon T.

Appears after that for nothing but pure greed move considering how many DTs they already had on their roster and the sleaze involved in the deal, the Huskies said you want to pull that shit on us, go for it. Nice to see the salt pouring over this. Talk about you reap what you sow time.
