Don't take this the wrong way as I think Frost is a great hire but it's a little concerning that he brought his whole staff from UCF. He has dang near double the money to pay for assistants and he doesn't try and get at least a few new guys. Loyalty is nice but with more money you would think he would have tried to upgrade his staff. I'm guessing his guys are pretty good at recruiting Florida but do any of them have experience going to California or Texas and getting kids? From what I saw of UCF they had a killer offense but struggled defensively. If the defensive staff were marginal coaches against G5 talent Id be concerned about what is going to happen with some of the stronger offenses in your conference.

They had a fair defense before playing USF and then Memphis in rematch.

17, 10, 13, 23, 21, 21, 33, 24, 24, and 19 points allowed.

UCF Defensive Stats prior to and after (bolded) playing USF and Memphis. Top 5 and Top 10 offenses.

Total Defense (51) (93)
Scoring Defense (27) (53)
Rushing Defense (54) (66)
Pass Eff Defense (15) (55)

Defensive TD's (15) (17)
1st Downs Defense (32) (76)
Fumbles Recovered (26) (14)
Passes Intercepted (8) (5)
Turnover Margin (1) (3)

Of course if you'd taken the time to truly evaluate instead of taking the easy way out, you'd have known that.

Does the B1G have strong offenses?

So what I'm reading is that Nebraska would love to be UCF. Just as soon as you get the UCF schedule this just might work.

Rumor has it that it was Dabo that ran Jimbo out of the ACC.

There's probably something to that. Now this year was a disaster for us, but the other two
he got out-coached. Actually, he got out-coached in most games. He quit because he couldn't
handle the heat he was getting from FSU fans.

If he's worrying about Dabo...he's got some issues on his hands, because Clemson plays
at A&M the 2nd game of the season next year.

btw...for the AM fans who maybe reading Fisher cannot tweak his offense to fit his
personnel. He only runs what he knows. So please do not think he's going to adapt
to anybody...plus his offense is tough to learn. NFL stuff. Which means it confuses
all the younger players or they just can't learn it very quickly, which limits their reps.

You must have forgot that Nebraska plays in the Big Slow. There aren't any strong offenses there.

This may sound like a jab, but it really isn't. Or, it's not intended to be.

I just cannot picture Nebraska running Frost's offense. Now, next year they'll be a bit
hampered by not having the proper personnel, but this is not about personnel. I just
can't imagine those red shirts, with those white helmets that have the big red "N" on them
spread out across the field, flinging it most every down.

I just can't. I'm used to I-backs and the option game. Powering that thing off tackle. This is
going to be difficult to see. Maybe they can switch to red helmets...have some alternative uniforms
although how alternate can they be with just red and white as colors.

Now Frost does feature an option game and spread offenses are designed to improve running games
not passing games. Frost, however, is more than "spread" he is Hurry-up, jet option, isolation
utilizing every inch of the field.

If they can get back to the big uglies up front, with just a tad bit more quickness, they could create
havoc in the Big10, provided they get someone that can make every throw and a few scat backs.

It will just be difficult to believe that's "Nebraska" running that stuff.
