Exactly...Eli manning is a classic example of a pocket or nothing QB

Both he and Wilson suffer from the same Offensive Line-itus, one continually makes plays despite it, the other gets sacked repeadetly

Yep...SEA...you can pay everybody. $100 mil, QB, very expensive back 4, OL Picking at the bottom of the draft...OT is hit or miss and they have been missing more so than hitting on the OL.

Yep...when you have a Manning, a Ryan, Brady...you better have a good OL or you will suck on OFC...RW is still able to make plays...somehow.

I have a hard time forgiving him after the worst INT in SB history

But damn its hard not to appreciate what he does out there

Does NOT have a RB with 250 yards rushing this season, thats insane

As bad as that INT was, we can only imagine how many times Pete Carroll wishes he could have that play over again and run Beastmode.

I've never been a real RW fan because I do prefer that big tall guy that can wing it from the pocket and make a play here or there running, but I'm very impressed with what he's been able to do in his career. If RG3 had RW's brain, no telling what he would've been, but with his 4.3, he thought he was going to "out athlete" the NFL....lol. Yep, ask Mike Vick how that turned out.

Yup, Im sure Carroll would, but I always felt just because the worst play call in history in thrown in, you dont have to toss the worst INT in history......So much blame to go around there

yeah the diff between Wilson and RG3 MOSTLY was above the shoulders....Wilson manages seemingly to never take a full clean shot, so smart in when he decides to run, contorts himself in a way that avoids the hardest of contact

RG3 seemed the complete opposite

I think the biggest difference is RW understood from day one that he has certain abilities as a QB, but, just like Brady, and Brees, and Manning, and Rothlisberger he realized his job 1st and foremost is to get the ball to the playmakers. RG3 thought HE WAS ONE of the playmakers.

That's a huge difference in the mental approach from the QB position. Kind of like the PG position in basketball, it's great to have a PG that can score, but your team will be better if the PG and create and distribute to make all 5 players OFC threats.

Good fucking grief, the 'worst' call/int/idea in Superbowl history again.

Here's a clue: The Marshawn of this year isn't a surprise to some Hawks fans.

Because, unbelievably, some Hawks fans believe the above bullshit.

Hmm, like the least likely guy to get the ball on a superbowl winning TD slant? Who would've scored if he hadn't 'leaned' and tipped Butler and Browner? Like that?

Absolutely! But that would mean it wasn't Carroll's/Bevell's/Wilson's fault, and THUS not the worst call in Superbowl history.

It was, they violated every single unwritten rule on one play

- Dont hand ball to power back who just gained 7 easy yards on previous play? CHECK
- Split said RB out wide pre-snap, removing even the threat of a run, or ability to PA - CHECK
- Never Throw ball into a crowd in the middle of the field at the one yard line? CHECK
- Never lead your WR into said crowd in the middle of the field at the one with the throw? - CHECK
- Never rely on the worst WR on your roster to make a play that will decide your season at the one yard line -
CHECK

Unquestionably, indisputably the worst play call in the history of not only football, but maybe big game pro sports in recent memory

I didn't call it the worst play in SB history. I just thought they should've run the ball. Give one of the top RBs in the game a chance. If you make it, great...if you don't make it, you gave your best OFC weapon a chance...I think you can live with the results a little easier.

I think a worse call is a field goal fake to your fullback on the 25 yard line with 7 seconds to go in the half.

Sometimes Pete makes Bruce Arians look good.

Clock is running at 20+ seconds and counting and everyone is wondering why BB isnt using a TO, to try and save Brady at least a shot

The reason he didnt, is because as soon as he split Lynch out wide, he knew he had the perfect defense set up

I never had a huge problem with "A" pass, I had a problem with THAT pass........Removing the ability to Play action, not using Wilsons legs on a run/pass option and the cherry on top, forcing it BY DESIGN to the #5 receiving option on your roster

I'd have to pull everything back up to know the details again, but something giving Wilson a run pass option would have been better than what they drew up...you said it best...splitting Lynch out took any threat of him getting the ball out of play so now you're defending the pass or a scramble.

Heh.

The 'crowd' wasn't over there. WATCH THE FUCKING PLAY AGAIN!!!!

The 'crowd' was over where Lynch was lined up, because Bill 'the best defensive coach in NFL history' Belicheck, was selling out to stop Marshawn (who'd been stopped ALREADY in the same damn game in short yardage!)

C'mon dude. You say you're a knowledgeable football fan. Read up. Educate yourself. Quit parroting Stephen Smith and the rest of the lazy motherfuckers on TV.

Wrong, their was no crowd building around Lynch, because no one, especially BB thought Lynch was splitting out wide to catch a pass, he was splitting out wide to draw the attention that never came

What am I talking about?

Everyone thought he should have used a timeout, he did not because Carroll played right into his hands

You’re not up to posting @DHoey ? You just wanna hang a rainbow on me for calling it like it is?
Read the first page, realized I probably shouldn't be posting and watching the game. I would get pissed about someone and say something stupid.

Great game last night, I wish we could have eked out a win.

<shrug>

The truth is out there. In Bill's own words.

I don't expect you to take MY word for it. Educate yourself. Or don't.
