After the red card and they felt they needed a different lineup. Lewey got hurt but Bayern stated it is not serious. Hope so with a big Celtic match this week. I guess from reading the summary Robben was a menace today. Him and Kimmich are forming quite a tandem.

He needs to be good with Muller out for awhile. I pretty much knew Coman would be out today as he has a minor leg knock right now. They are short up front. Thankfully the back end is healthy again with Boetang, Hummels, Martinez solid. Another clean sheet for Ulreich although the early red card took the wind out of this one and once it was 2-0 Bayern really backed off and protected the 3 points.

Ulreich was never tested really, but a clean sheet is a clean sheet. You’re right, the red changed the match immediately. Leipzig never had enough possession to get anything going.

Their defense is hideous ... and I am being nice. I don't know what happened. Maybe the schedule got tougher. Someone here (Payton I think) had mentioned their early schedule was mostly bottom feeders.

Can't blame him. It shouldn't make too much of a difference against Celtic. Let players rest, especially with BvB coming up this weekend and Gladbach, Hannover, and PSG in the near future.

How bad is Celtic? They are not Anderlecht bad. Thiago too is sitting. Yeah the BvB game is big but this is still important.

Celtic isn't bad. They have some good players, but they play in a one horse League. On any night, they can give any team fits, but on the average, they are nowhere near BM.

Just like I thought with all key players sitting this was going to be nailbiter. Jepp took a risk and got away with it. Celtic had more shots than Bayern even. Once Javi scored I thought for sure Hummels and Kimmich would enter the game to secure it...but only Kimmich got a cup of coffee time.

I was reading Bobby Wood is on the outs with Hamburg SV. The team sucks and he is way off form in what they are saying is a "negative spiral". I heard he may be dropped from the team. WC Qualifying hangover? He needs to get his cojones back and forget the USA debacle in Trinidad and Tobago if that is the problem. As least he is in Germany and not taking fan abuse like Bradley and Altidore are here.
