That's the point. Sometimes pitching wins championships, sometimes hitting, sometimes starting pitching, sometimes relief pitching. There's no hard and fast rule.

There're a lot of ways to skin that cat.

I see it as balancing out, where "Sometimes" Good Pitching beats Good Hitting, and "Sometimes" it doesnt

Feels to me like almost a 50/50 split each WS

Remember when Barry Bonds was nearing his record-breaking homer, and whenever he came up to bat, the umps called for the "Special commemorative balls?"

The official league story was that they wanted to have uniquely marked balls so that nobody could ever try to pass off a fake, but nearly every pitcher who threw one of them said there was something "off" about them. Baseball has obviously fallen behind the NFL by a mile, and even behind the NBA

It makes total sense that adding offense, and a more exciting product, would be a priority
