I don't hate them... I just think their man card should be revoked! Saw we have a new poster here that's Dallas, Lakers and Yankees but he says there is a legit reason for it and has nothing to do with winning. Suuuuuuuuure!

haha, it was just a joke and I meant that the guy that never posts doesn't like fans like you that aren't local. Pays no attention to where people grew up, just looking at ZIP codes apparently.

Houston Texans have the #1 capacity in filled seats in the NFL

you lose

5 > 0

Yep, I see one that says Philly is #1 and Houston #2 and one that says Houston is #1 and Philly is #2 because Houston hasn't been around since 96 so you're a clown.

Very intelligent reply. It's a great city... the birthplace of our nation. Great history, diverse population and rebounding tremendously. Real estate is rising, poor neighborhoods are turning around. Top 2 restaurants in the country are in Philly. I disagree homie.
They have McDonalds and Burger King everywhere. We just don't call them restaurants in New York

To be clear we didn't have 1/4 million at once. It was over the entire draft. It will be interesting how Dallas shows up. I heard on the first night after we picked at 16 1/2 the crowd left
Jerry will make it a 30 day event and blow past 250,000 people by day 12...otherwise known as "Glory Hole night"

some things never change around here.

Texas is and has been the football mega for a very long time.
Where else do 50,000 fans attend a high school playoff game?

philly is all about the cheese steaks and very little else

I'll be sure to let the Chicago Cubs fans they aren't a baseball town. Winning has nothing and I repeat NOTHING to do we ther you're a sports town. If the Eagles went 0-16 five straight years they'd still sell out every game.
Fake news.
Nothing? I have to strongly disagree with. Is Seattle a better Football town than a few years back? How about NE? Not that it's a Town, but a lot of those rock eaters came out of the woodwork when Brady and BB came to town...nothing and I repeat NOTHING energizes a sports fan base like winning...

That because the stadium is waaaaaay bigger in Texas and for only this year correct? I guess it doesn't help at all.
Look at the percentages filled. Keep in mind that non football unless they're winning city of Dallas hasn't won squat in over two decades.

Again my issue with you isn't your ideas, it's your Matter-Of-Fact way of stating your opinions

Yes, cities come forward when they start winning but will they be there when they start losing again? Nope! The argument I have is not if Dallas has a great fan base cause they do. The argument is one Cowboy poster is saying Dallas is waaaaaay bigger of a football city than Philly and that's simply not true. Like how HS football is religion in Texas and college football is religion in the south FOOTBALL IS KING IN PHILLY. And Philly is a top 3 football city in this country.

along with his baiting agenda while playing the victim card.
6 weeks in and as usual, the philly fans have come outta the woodwork cause their team had a good start

I don't see that at all. Thats not even what we are talking about here either. We are discussing if Dallas is a waaaaaay bigger football city then Philly. Nice try though.

NFL Fan Base and Brand Rankings 2017

The Winners

The top five fan bases (team brands if you prefer) are the Cowboys, Patriots, Eagles, Giants and Steelers. The Cowboys excel on all the metrics. They win in terms of Fan Equity (a revenue premium measure of brand strength), Road Equity and finish second in social media. The underlying data (I will spare everybody the statistical models) reveals why Dallas does so well. The Cowboy’s average home attendance (reported by ESPN) is more than 10,000 higher than the next team. The Cowboys average ticket price is also well above average and they have the second most Twitter followers after the Patriots. The other thing to note is that the Cowboys achieve these year in and year out , even in years when the team is not great.

The Complete List

The complete list follows. In addition to the overall ranking of fan bases, I also report rankings on the social and road measures. Following the table, I provide a bit more detail regarding each of the metrics.

Three metrics are used to get a complete picture of fans. But there are other ways to look at fan behavior and brand strength. For example, we could look at pricing power (which teams are able to extract significant price premiums) or bandwagon fan behavior (which fans are most sensitive to winning). I’m happy to provide these additional rankings if there is interest.

2017’s Best & Worst Cities for Football Fans

You can read the methodology and it's pretty sound. Philly ranks 7th. 3 spots behind Dallas.
