Because the fans are more rabid. Dallas won't pull in a quarter million people. Chicago is a big.time football city and they pulled in 60,000 for the draft. Football is life in Philadelphia.
Philly sucks.

Philly sucks.

Very intelligent reply. It's a great city... the birthplace of our nation. Great history, diverse population and rebounding tremendously. Real estate is rising, poor neighborhoods are turning around. Top 2 restaurants in the country are in Philly. I disagree homie.

Philly fans would boo their own grandmother. One of the worst places to watch an NFL game.

It's not like how the old Vet was. It's a really nice stadium (one of the top 5 in the NFL. The fans are electric. It's a GREAT place to watch a game... if you're an Eagle fan. And they would boo their abuela if she deserved it.

An 'uncomfortable' life: Philly still America's poorest big city

Philadelphia’s poverty rate, a stubborn and entrenched indicator of hard times, remained stagnant in 2016, even as poverty declined throughout America.
Philadelphia retained its unenviable designation as the poorest of the 10 most populous cities in America, recording the highest rate of deep poverty — people living at 50 percent of the poverty line or less — among big cities.

Philadelphia’s 2016 poverty and deep-poverty rates were statistically the same as in 2015 — 25.7 percent and 12.2 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, more than 37 percent of the city’s children were living in poverty.

At the same time, the city defied another national trend: Its median household income — $41,449 —dropped a bit between 2015 and 2016, even as America as a whole saw incomes recovering from the recession and rising from $57,230 to $59,039.

The data come from the U.S. Census American Community Survey released Thursday morning. Census figures are adjusted to 2016 dollars.

“It’s incredibly disheartening to see that Philadelphia hasn’t shared in the gains seen nationally,” said Kathy Fisher, policy director at the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger. “And it’s unacceptable that we still have a third of our children growing up in poverty.”

From last month. I mean, outside of that, I'm sure Philadelphia is a great city.

It is the nation's poorest city. But it really on the rise and real estate is exploding. There are areas that were straight up hood that are turning into artsy expensive areas. Many of these big north east cities were devastated when our country stopped manufacturing things. Lots and lots of poor people but it's always had the history, great museums and culture and one of the best food cities in the country. Wish I would have invested in Philly real estate.

Dallas is waaaaaaaay more of a football town than Philly. Stadium is tops in the league and that's how it should be when you are Americas Team.

Thats just not true. Dallas has a great fan base, and also by far the largest fan base across the country but Philadelphians are rabid. The Cowboys stadium sucks too, it just was expensive. You have never been to the northeast part of our country if you think Dallas is waaaaaay more of a football town then Philly. It simply just isnt. The 2004 EAGLES/PATS SB was 80% Eagles fans. The highest rate of people taking 2nd mortgages out on their homes in our country was in January of 2004 in the city of Philadelphia. We were putting our house in jeopardy for tickets. This is in no way putting down the loyalty of Cowboy fans but you just dont understand from lack of experience. There will not be 1/4 million people showing up for the draft in Dallas. That 100,000 seat stadium wont even be filled.
When the Eagles are balling the entire city is in Eagles gear. Every shop has a flag flying outside. Every bus in the city changes their marquis from the bus route/name to GO EAGLES. We are 100% a sports town and football is number #1 in a landslide. The Phillies are 3rd and got a million people at their parade in 2008.
Oh, and "Americas Team" was a marketing ploy by the marketing department. They are the most hated team in the NFL... that doesnt equate to Americas Team.

Your opinions do not make it fact.

Dallas is more of a football town. More division titles, NFC titles and Super Bowls prove it

Americas team because most Americans root for Dallas

Hopefully the Z. Elliot suspension is still hanging around when Goodell walks the aisle.

That SOB is gonna get roasted either way.

Well it shows that the draft can be huge in football first cities. Thats an impressive draw that Dallas won't touch. Not understanding your pointless anger.

What are you basing that on? AT&T stadium is a destination for NFL fans to come see even when games aren't being played. Getting to come see it during the draft would probably be a pretty good draw.

And AT&T stadium is top 1. Weather at that time is going to be beautiful. DFW is centrally located and has lots of competition so it's cheap and quick to fly there. There are plenty of places to stay.

I don't think Dallas will have any issue drawing just as well as Philly did.

The quality of the team has nothing to do with it being a good football town or not.

I don't think they'll do 100,000 but we will see next year brother.

Do they play the national anthem before the draft?
Could be a problem.
