Most of USF's success out of the backfield came from the fact that Flowers is one of the top dual-threat QB's in thee nation. They had to account for his arm and legs leaving plenty of space for their backs to roam around the country.

We got a white boy who can barely walk without falling down, let alone run. Sure has a pretty arm though.

On the road, I'll bet we struggle to generate a whole lot of Offense at all. Gonna be another ugly low scoring one.

They're not that bad.

I'd say they're slightly better than Rutgers. Add in the fact that it's a Friday night game in Champaign.....I'd say it's a toss up.

I need it to be clear that stating Illinois being awful is not me saying I have complete faith in MR/DL, rather they are so bad it'll easily cover our offense spotting them 14 points and an extra 3-4 possessions.
Again I know Flowers is the QB for USF, Illinois is probably the best team USF will face all year and may be awarded the Hiesman for it, I'll take our defense over theirs. Illinois still hasn't scored more than 24 pts this season playing fcs teams. If we can get our sellout QB in check this game isn't even a match, even if not it's a 2 score game still

Monday Recap: Win and Survive

Check out the RPO section towards the bottom. This is one of the things we did to combat that. As noted in the article, that particular play wasn't successful but the playcall was good. Need Spielman to get off the line quicker and Lee to get the ball out.

That's supposed to be a good play?

Better athletes on D, and that's a pick 6 the other way.

All that risk for a fucking 3 yd gain.

Breaking news,

I told my wife we were not going to the illinois game as we had planned. I said Nebraska has to beat NIU and Buttgers, the loss to NIU stopped the plan.

But, I have been checking the prices and ticket prices have been heading south. I will check on Thursday and if I can score them in the price range I want to pay, which is cheaper than what they are today, I just might drive south to Champana for the game.

I am not committed at this time.

They're much better than how they've been playing, I wouldn't give much effort blocking for our QB either knowing there's zero accountability for him yet everyone else is getting thrown under the bus everytime the guy throws a pic, so a lot

Illinois' stadium is horrible, or at least it was a few years ago. It was Jack Trice Stadium with less appealing football.

I think you can manage even with the typo
The original schedule I looked at didn't list thier last game at UCF, so I'll adjust and say Illinois could be their toughest game all year, I couldn't care less about Frost no matter what he does or doesn't do in Florida, I don't want him as HC

I went to school when Callahan was there so my overall record is probably under .500
