Cooley breaks down the entire play at the end of Cooley and Kevin

Direct quote: "Not a horrendous decision, a horrendous throw"

Here is a link to the podcast, it was the 4th hour about 20mins in from today

ESPN 980 Audio Vault - Play Now

I hope that you don't mind a question about that Cooley statement. Is it possible to make a throw (horrendous or otherwise) without deciding to do so prior to making it? Just asking!!

Samurai...thank you very much.

Does everybody see that Dean moved the goal posts? He changed his arguments continually. He can't stand being proven wrong. When he is proven wrong, he changes the narrative. That has been my point all the time with regard to Dean.

Dean..I am done messing with you. I will still talk and respond to you, I just won't continually ram my head into the wall any more. Good day sir.

To my knowledge, probably not, lol and I believe it was Kevin Sheehan who said that btw

Of course I believe that @deanpet21 is a fan/follower/supporter of this team. Absolutely!!.....His passion cannot be denied, in fact, I'll ask all of the old heads here to think back to a more youthful times and contrast and compare themselves then vs. now.

I don't know how old @deanpet21 is, but I'm willing to bet that he's at that point in life where his fandom often fuels an very deep visceral reaction, where most old hats have been there, done that and ain't doing it anymore.

Excellent point. The point in my life where I decided to stop drinking in large part had to do with my fandom for the Skins. As well as my inability at times to control how I reacted towards others while watching a Skins game.

I know, like most of us at one time or the other, @deanpet21 is very passionate about what happens to and against this team. You can literally "feel" it in his posts.

Do I think Dean is a fan? Yes, I do. Do I think dean makes shit up so as to be able to say he was right? I know he does. Dean's issue is not one of fandom, its one of maturity as alluded to by others in this thread.

Fine - who cares? Why do you let this stuff bother you so much? Just laugh it off. It is not as if you really know any of us anyhow. In terms of that Cousins INT - NP - if it was a mistake by Cousins - so be it. It is in the past. He now has 15 games to prove that he won't continue to act in this manner or else - we will see. However - you have to look well beyond Cousins to fix their current offensive issues.

They certainly need to shore up that line or else I don't care who is playing QB. They need to develop some semblance of a running game - better blocking & if Kelley is not going to cut it then try out some of the other backs. Pryor is going to have to have better hands & Gruden is going to have to get Docston more involved in the game. If not - then Allen & Co made a huge mistake in not even trying to retain Jackson or Garcon.

As for your pt about not being true fans unless you love/like the FO - get real! Lots of diehard fans don't like their owner or GM. There are plenty of Cowboys fans who are not crazy about Jones, Cavs fans who don't like Gilbert & Colts fans who can't stand their GM. Liking your FO is not a prerequisite to being a good fan. I can't believe that you even made a stupid statement like that.

Well not sure about Dean, but I definitely know that you are not a Redskins fan. What true fan would hope that their team loses all of their games? All to hopefully draft a good QB while knowing in the NFL there are no guarantees that the next big QB won't be a bust & there are tons of QBs drafted high who have proved this pt.

It figures that you idolize an idiot like Spurrier. As I have mentioned previously you are either a complete fraud or a total idiot. Not quite sure which at this time.

Cmon, dean. We all know better and have proven it as recently as last night. You claimed that Cooley questioned the decision by KC to throw that INT pass in the red zone. You were adamant in multiple posts. Then Samauri called you out and posted the Cooley segment and, in reality, Cooley said just the opposite. Now if you weren't making that up, how do you explain it? Was it an intelligence issue that you couldn't comprehend what Cooley was saying? Or was it a bias issue where you take everything you hear and read and turn it to support your specific bias so as to be proven "right"? I can't wait to hear how you justify it.

That's easy. Here is how Dean responded once the facts were clarified:

"my bad. I misunderstood. I thought he said Pryor was open in the endzone"

In other words - he never listened to the Cooley segment or the entire thing (likely read about it somewhere else) & just assumed that this was stated. This is by definition "making shit up". Ditto for saying that many of us are defending Cousins during the Eagles game or claiming that he did no wrong. I can't find anyone on this board who made those types of statements. The closet you will come are fans (e.g. me) who state the others were also to blame.

Deans a Skins fan no doubt, he's misguided, and wrongly thinks he's the smartest man in the room, but yes he's a Skins fan

And in Dean's twisted logic, by saying others are to blame also is giving KC a pass. He only deals in absolutes. Its always one play or one player to blame. But in reality, life is much more nuanced as is football. There never is one play that decides a game. Now some plays may have more influence than others, but there are over 100 plays a game. Each one has its impact. KC's INT itself was not a game decider. But it definitely was a major influence on the ultimate game status. As was the complete whiff(s) by moses and resulting strip sack and TD. As was Crowder's fumble. As was a couple of Pyror's drops. As were the dropped INTs by Morgan, Breeland and Fuller. All of those major plays had a role in direct scores or potential momentum shifts. But none by themselves were game deciding plays.

that is not the issue at all. If you want to take the Rex Grossman approach to Quarterbacking that is fine. All Samuri said was it was the right read. who cares? It was a high risk throw b/c of all of the issues going on in that play.
