few things half of mcgregors "landed" punches just grazed mcgregor...........

two for the buildup, they were gonna let mcgregor have a bit of a showing.......and not let him get killed up front, he looked very awkward

third when floyd wanted the fight, it was over period..........

it was never in question, and semi rigged on how they let it go on

Total punches landed against Mayweather

Canelo 117
McGregor 111
PacMan 81

In his boxing debut? Pretty damn impressive. Guy isn't a boxer, he's an MMA fighter all the way, but that's impressive to me
It is, if you don't know it was all for show.

I should have added something about you being a simpleton in there. Did you see Mayweather looking worried at any point? Any cuts? Nothing.

Please note my previous criticism of FM for his weak ass jabs to get some hit counts. I don't even know why I'm offering you up this. We all saw the same fight.

I dont see the whole "Wow, Boxing must really suck if this guy went 10 rounds with 'The Best Ever', huh?" logic. He's a 40 yr old man coming out of a 2 year retirement to fight a clearly bigger guy who has a pretty good chin. Floyd has never been a big puncher. A lot of his KO's/TKO's were breaking guys down & stopping them. It's only after he'd land a perfectly timed punch that the other guy didn't see coming in just the right spot that he'd have a guy flat on his back.

Not surprising that McGregor took him 10 rounds.

The only props I give McGregor is that he stepped outside of his comfort zone and his forte but I think the people who are saying we should be amazed he went 10 rounds are fooling themselves. Floyd is a Defensive fighter who is known for taking fights to decisions over knocking people out and Connor was clearly gassed by round 5. Floyd is far and way a counter fighter and rarely if ever goes full on offensive so for them to spend the first several rounds feeling each other out and Floyd gauging Connor and letting him tire himself out doesn't really scream competitive to me.

Honestly I don't see how anyone can say anything positive from McGregor after he spent 80% of the fight going for illegal MMA holds, trying to take Floyd down from behind, and everytime he got hit hard he would go for a hug to force a referee break. If this wasn't a giant spectacle and because honestly people would've rioted if this happened but McGregor should've been DQ'd in round 4 after what seemed like his 10th illegal hold attempt.

Hopefully the younger fighters show more balls, but you were seeing it for months when guys were dodging GGG for his power as well.

I can't say I blame opponents of Golovkin. He's a stone cold killer with KO power in both hands and of the 15-18 fights I've seen of Triple G. I don't think he;s ever been hurt, stunned, hell, I'm not sure he's even been mad after getting hit. He's gonna do Canelo wrong, really really wrong. I can't wait.

It does not matter to me. Honest. You set it up and I'll go with it.

Congrats @douggie

You have to settle the bet on your end with the betting exchange. Look for a tab called your bets. And then settle bets.

10 rounds. Fucking A man.

Floyd should be ashamed for letting it last this long. Guy is washed up. Young Floyd used to be a legit counterpuncher and had combinations to end some mediocre fighters. Hasn't done anything in that regard since probably Victor Ortiz or probably not since Ricky Hatton. He would get washed by GGG or Terrence Crawford.

He's fucking 40 dude!

Mayweather killed boxing for me, you have to reintroduce me to these people. My last interest was Pavlik, Calzaghe, etc. was looking forward to the potential of Paul Williams and Berto. I've been out of it for a while. Quick search shows me GGG is old, so I guess I missed him.

Lol, he killed boxing for you because nobody can't beat him?

Pretty retarded argument to say 'Floyd couldn't handle it in a cage.'

When you're 50-0, made almost a BILLION dollars, and are 40, there is NOTHING Mayweather needs to prove to a bunch of MMA fans.
James "lights out" Toney.

They're not the same sport. Huge props to McGregor getting in the ring and putting on a good show, but the MMA fans saying he wouldn't last 1 round in the octagon is like saying Michael Jordan wouldn't last 1 quarter on the football field.

Clearly.

Mayweather wouldn't last one round in a MMA fight. It is no disrespect to Floyd, but when you've never had to defend takedowns and never trained BJJ -- it'd be over quickly.

Think about the UFC at the beginning when their was no weight classes and Gracie would beat 300 lb giants, muscle bound wrestlers, professional boxers, etc. Defending submissions takes years and years to learn.

Off topic, but Toney was never given enough credit for stepping into a cage against Couture. He did what 99.9% of boxers would never do despite having no experience & no idea wtf he was doing. Him talking shit prior doesn't change that.

Mcgregor threw over 400 punches in that fight. He did this 200 times?
