If Mayweather fights again, it will be against a fighter he knows damn well he can beat. Too many young boxers out there, for Mayweather to take any chances to ruin his perfect record.
Yeah, he's not going to mess up that 0. I can see him go to MMA if it netted him 1/4 of a billion, though.

I don't understand the "Boxing is superior" attitude. MMA incorporates boxing into its fights, whereas the vice-versa is not reciprocated in boxing. It is what it is. I think if more fights like this happen you'll see the occasional upset in the boxing ring, but never in the octagon.

No way. They would put Mayweather in a choke hold and he would tap out in the first round. Mayweather doesn't need the money.

Actually, if you check my VCash, I bet 28K on Mayweather. I knew he would win. My point is, it's impressive for a guy to COMPETE into the tenth round against a guy that's 49-0 as a boxer, when Floyd would literally be lying in a bloody heap before the end of round one if he fought any top ten UFC 155er
You do realize this is the first TKO dude has had since 2007. He's not a knock out artist.

And he really did sell it to the fans.

But if he was assured $250 Mil? He's taking it

it doesn't mess up his boxing 0, which is what counts.

Mayweather is way past his prime.....first 3-4 rounds he didn't fight very good. 5-6 years ago, this fight woud have been 3-4 rounds, tops.

If nothing else, at least I remembered how boring boxing is.
A Floyd fight is always boring, that being said, this was one of his more entertaining fights to watch, though I think it was on purpose.

That being said, UFC can be boring as fuck as well. If it's a choice between the two, I couldn't pick one. Every UFC PPV is free here in korea. For the most part, they're pretty fucking boring as well. It is what it is when it comes to fighting sports.

I truly believe Floyd and Connor are best friends after this. If you saw some of their behind the scenes interactions before this fight you know.

Here is a real talk for me. Back in 2005, Floyd was legit my favorite fighter at the time after Felix Trinidad was in the twilight of his career. Loved his athleticism and defensive CP play while he actually fought legit fighters and dominated. Once that first retirement hit around 2007 I started to not like him as much and Pacquio started blowing up. I wanted the fight back then and Floyd kept dodging while fighting guys like an old Sugar Shane Mosely.

Floyd was still great and I thought back then he could beat Manny but Pac Man had the power to clash for a legit all-time fight. It was clear once 2013 hit that Floyd lost a lot of his power and had to just out play fighters by just running and playing keep away defensive, which even by then he was still light years ahead as a pure athlete against the field. The final straw was the Pac-man fight in 2015 when he was clear Manny was in the twilight, and got knocked the fuck out by a roided up JMM previously, that would have never touch him in the previous fights.

Hopefully the younger fighters show more balls, but you were seeing it for months when guys were dodging GGG for his power as well.

UFC is starting to have rampant cheating too. Jon Jones is becoming a disgrace. I really wanted Cormier to win that fight but knew it was going to take a miracle.

In his boxing debut? Pretty damn impressive. Guy isn't a boxer, he's an MMA fighter all the way, but that's impressive to me

Mayweather wasn't playing super defensive either. He was more aggressive, because he knew McGreggor lacked punching power. You could see it after the first 3 rounds.
