I think they will be much improved but their schedule is brutal this year.

Well, they play Alabama and everyone who loses to Alabama gets over-ranked. USC finished the season #3 last year after getting blown out 52-6, so I'm pretty confident my pick is going to be correct.

Not a "surprise" team IMO but I think WSU could end up in the top 15 by the end of the year. If they don't fuck up, which they always seem to do.

That one is confusing to me. Like your take on this. I'm thinking people got all hyped up on USC because USC beat the team that beat Ohio State. And Clem proved Ohio State wasn't as good as we normally expect out of them. And I'm wondering just how good Penn State was/is because of that too. Ohio State seems to regress as the season went on last year IMHO.

App st is going 12-1, not sure how high they'll get though. It'll depend on how tight they play Georgia......that will be no cupcake game either.

Wazzu is a sleeper team. Colorado will take a step back, and Oregon will suck kok.

I don't trust Kenny Hill either but Patterson has consistently had big seasons when he has an experienced team returning.

He either needs to play better or TCU has to find someone better

It's always difficult to count Patterson out but Hill is a major issue for the team

They've got a big time freshman talent in Shawn Robinson, he's probably one of the most talented QB's Patterson has ever recruited. He is a true freshman though, but at minimum they could plug him in and I bet he would rush for 1,000 yards this year and really help their running game.

What am I missing with them? I've seen multiple people bring them up in various threads. It looks like a rebuild year to me, but I'm willing to listen to why I'm wrong.

I am going to go with 2 out of the SEC. I think the West looks a bit down, so I will go Miss State to surprise and sneak in the back half of the top 25. Basing that almost entirely off of their QB. I think he can lead them to a couple surprise wins. South Carolina is the other. They found a QB last year for the first time in, well forever.

They did make the top 25 but I think they're in for a good year. I'm not sure if it will be as good as the Fiesta bowl team that was one awful game against Baylor from being in the national championship, but they will be good.

yeah, as soon as I left, I looked up the list and saw they were on it...:L

But they came first to mind, as being in same conference with them, they are always a bit of a surprise. Every year, Synder rolls out some full-grown studs he's picked up from some little obscure juco somewhere. Dude definitely knows how to find those guys.

yeah, he's probably going to be trouble for us in the next few years

I actually think they will 7 games this year and they are being completely written off as the future SEC cellar dweller going forward. So I agree with you to an extent.
