It's the Mets... Need I say more?

@cerealboi what player currently would any team want from the Sox?

That the sox are willing to jettison? Not a lot. Boyer and Leon might be attractive to certain teams. Moreland has killed whatever value he had. Which wasn't a lot but I suppose if the sox picked up the rest of his contract. . .

Top 5 Mess Up's by Red Sox Ownership in the Past 10 Years (no particular order)

1. Low-balling Jon Lester
2. Letting Theo go and replace with Lucchino
3. Signing Panda
4. Trading Travis Shaw
5. Signing David Price (overpaying for him and outbidding themselves)

I had 5 more in my head yesterday but I can't remember them now.

No team will take those

I'm shocked Houston hasn't gone all in on a starting pitcher

Think they will regret that

6. letting derek lowe walk: he won 85 games over the next 6 seasons (MLB leading 16 in 2006), 3.82 ERA.
7. trading away rizzo
8. not trading away lars anderson when they could have gotten something big.

I do like all you've said... Yeah, what did Rizzo get in return again? A bag of balls?

(he has some very interesting splits home and away. example, he hits 100 pts lower...one hundred...on the road, and he has 1/2 the HR he does at home)

But I heard that most of his home runs in YS would have been home runs in any other park?!?

Also, basebawl = fer gheys

I think you mean what did Anderson get in return, and it was Steven Wright. Deal of the century last year.

Add Blake Swihart to that list

Meh...stay away. He's a Mets first baseman, after all. If he ever does ANYTHING, it won't be in our uniform.

All the talk is still about Rosario, especially after Reyes got hit on the forearm yesterday. But after trading Duda, we don't have many good options at first. Most of our other infielders are better on the left side/they suck at first, and Collins doesn't seem to want Jay Bruce to play there.

I say, bring everybody up right now. I mean, we lost two out of three to the Mariners...that's suicide-level embarrassment.

Swihart, as a prospect, had one of the most over-rated trade values in the past 10 years. But not surprising. It's typical for bawstun fans to think everyone wants their prospects.

He was a top 20 prospect across the board going into 2015.
