JG got hurt. That is why. I also said that last year that it would have taken an injury for Tm to see the field and it happened. The 9 sack performance doesn't happen if JG was healthy all year. I replied to sharks post. He mentioned the contract.

This is what you claim. Do you believe JG would have performed as well as TM in spot duty? I seriously doubt it. JG may not make the team. He may be a shell of his former self. Who the fuck knows? We do know that TM had 9 sacks splitting time.

I may have said something like Long moves to LG so Roullier can play center. I may have said Roullier will beat out Lauvao. I may have even said it is possible Roullier beats out Long at center. I never said he would.

You do not know if JG would have taken time from TM.

JG may have lost something having been injured the last two seasons.

TM may be a better pass rusher than JG.

Look at JG stats. He had two seasons better than TM last season. They were a little better in a full time capacity.

Most Redskins fans would be thrilled to have Murphy earn a contract extension with this team because it would mean we are in fact a better team and would be secure at the OLB position. Which is something we have not had in years. You on the other hand apparently are hoping Murphy never even see's the field in some vain attempt to prove you were right over what is best for the team.

Fact is, he outperformed Smith last year. Gallette hasnt even stepped onto the field for us. And if not for the suspension, the starting job would be Murphys right now hands down. And if he were as useless as you think, why would it not make sense to cut him loose now (which would thrill you Im sure). But the reality is, he has performed for this team, and even with the suspension he will get his playing time.

I agree Smith had a bad year but they are not going to overpay for Tm when they still got Smith on his rookie deal next year. If he beats out Smith for playing time this year I would agree with you. The Anderson pick was depth for the loss of Murphy next year.

This isn't QB - you can never have enough quality guys on the front 7. Let's also be real here - injuries most likely will happen. You also appear to be portraying JG as the same guy who played for the Saints. Two straight years of injuries can affect a player dramatically so the truth is that we have no idea of how good or bad he will be this season.

Drafting Anderson had nothing to do with TM just like TM had nothing to do with drafting PS.

JG was brought here because we had a need at OLB. Nobody had locked down the position. He wasn't brought here to be a pass rush specialist. He was brought here to play OLB, an every down backer. He got injured and missed the entire season. Last year, he was injured yet again.
