welp, Kimbrel made it interesting
The boy is gone now and the man has arrived. A great change in Elvis and it has been a trip watching him grow into a first class ball player. THANK YOU ELVIS

I was so glad when we extended him. One of the few good decisions this front office has made recently.
This is the first season where he's actually produced in accordance with his salary IMO.
Don't get me wrong. I'm delighted. But to date, he's been way overpaid for years.
Sorry I don't agree. Just because players don't always work out the way we hope does not mean they were a bad decision. Example..... Jefferess Lucroy Gomez.I was so glad when we extended him. One of the few good decisions this front office has made recently.

Hamels was a good decision hurt by injury as was AJ. Lot of things effect decisions as to how they work out.
You just proved my point. Not all decisions have been bad recently. Choo and Fielder are not recent. Again injury effected both these guys also.I'll give you the injury argument, but it's also the front offices job to bring in guys who are a fit for the team. Players whose style of play mesh well with the roster and players who won't be a clubhouse cancer. Jeffress has gotten in trouble off the field and he hasn't performed well, I still think that Lucroy is a damn good catcher but it just hasn't been a fit here. We should get a good reliever or some decent prospects for him. Gomez has done pretty well if you consider the cost and the expectations for him coming in. AJ has been plagued with injuries, but performed good when healthy. The Choo and Fielder deals have hamstrung the team a bit. Might have to wait until they are off the books to see another big move.
You didn't like his numbers last year? This is the first season where he's actually produced in accordance with his salary IMO.

Sometimes good decisions do work out bad and sometimes bad decisions seem like good ones for awhile. To me the Choo signing and the Prince trade were both terrible decisions that hamstrung us financially for quite some time. I didn't care for the Hamels trade or the Lucroy trade, but I would not put them in the same category as the Choo and Prince transactions.Sorry I don't agree. Don't forget the effect Wash had on him in prior years. Bunt, bunt, bunt.
