If the Rangers get what they can for Beltre then that's a spot for Gallo or Profar (with Gallo at 1B)

If the Rangers get what they can for Andrus, then that's a spot for Profar

If they decide to hold onto Andrus and trade Odor then that's also a spot for Profar

If they hold onto everyone then maybe Profar could be packaged in a deal to sweeten it and get a prospect they want in a deal

What I'm saying is that if there's a deal to be made, if JD finds a taker, I would do the deal if I'm him. If there's not a taker, I understand that too.

I was only saying keep Profar if you decide to trade Andrus/Beltre/Odor

I certainly think his value to us is greater than in a trade package. And it's a shame he's had the injuries and the day-to-day insecurities we've provided him.

We sure have found another starter out of nowhere in ABD, haven't we? Rather amazing actually.

5 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs and only 72 pitches. How sweet would a complete game look?

If they can trade Odor or Beltre I would bring up Profar and play him everyday and then make a decision on him at the end of the season. I want to see what he can do if they have as much patience with him as they have in the past with guys like Choo, Prince, Napoli, Desmond, and Odor.

Right now, Darvish is probably the only thing worth selling that people would actually want to buy, at least in terms of what we would get back

Choo - No one is buying that contract for anything worthwhile
Andrus - Iffy, does his contract impede the return, and not make it worthwhile?
Lucroy - Tough pill to swallow after what we gave up
Beltre - would probably bring a decent return to a team that needed a 3B for the stretch run
Napoli - No one is buying
Hamels - Needs to get healthy and pitching well first
Gomez - playing well, might actually bring a decent return from someone needing a CF
Odor - Needs to start hitting

So Darvish, Beltre and Gomez, Chirinos as is, could fetch something worthwhile

Waiting to see - Lucroy, Hamels, Odor need to start playing better/get healthy, Bush maybe, but I know there are many teams that won't have anything to do with him

Contract restricted - Choo & Andrus, hard to say with those contracts

Nope - Napoli contract and play suck, Perez, Cashner

Shouldn't trade - Profar, Gallo, Maz
I would add Ross in your "waiting to see" category. I think I would put an asterisk by Hamels because he would only have to show me he is healthy through a couple of games. I would promote Lucroy to the list of guys who could bring back something worthwhile. Lucroy has hit almost .300 since a bad April.

With Choo I would be willing to pay a good portion of his salary if someone wanted to give us something of value for him.

With ya 100% on Ross, and Hamels. I believe it's going to be a game to game situation with Ross for the foreseeable future. And I think you're on to something with Lucroy as well.

Choo might surprise us as to what he'd bring back. With the right team/right situation, a guy who works the pitcher, gets on base, hits with a little power, he may be really valuable. And I've accepted the fact we'll eat salary with him. Now it's only to be determined of how much?

I may have missed on players more than I've missed on Claudio, but I'll be damned if I can name them. :D

I was a fan of his and his abilities coming up from the minors and I am still surprised. It was even mentioned on the radio rain delay show yesterday that a scenario could unfold where Alex is our All Star representative. Elvis could be picked and he could decline because his wife's due date is right about then. They were saying Claudio could be picked at that point. That seems like a stretch to me, but the guys who were discussing it are a lot closer to the situation than I am. To me I think a non-closer relief pitcher has to be pitching like Jeff Zimmerman did that one year that he was an All Star as a non-closer reliever.

Well pitched game by ABD and a good win by the team.

I'm saying it now because I'm trying something different. The team has blown half of their fucking save opps this year. I'm just gonna assume they will win and see if it works or not.

Your assumption will have absolutely nothing to do with the outcome.

That's some pretty convoluted logic there; even if it did turn out well.....Not that I haven't come to expect such from ya......But still.
