Yes and no, Murray pretty much acknowledged that Palmieri was a dead asset to them. He said he knew they wouldn't be able to re-sign him. So in that sense he's shown he'd prefer to get something rather than nothing in regards to losing assets. At least that's what I'm convincing myself. Also, I would have to see what those picks turned into.

still the first guy is two years away if ever and the second kid is even longer away then that. which is why i will always trade picks for nhl talent. sure the pick can turn into something but when?
