Yes and no, Murray pretty much acknowledged that Palmieri was a dead asset to them. He said he knew they wouldn't be able to re-sign him. So in that sense he's shown he'd prefer to get something rather than nothing in regards to losing assets. At least that's what I'm convincing myself. Also, I would have to see what those picks turned into.

lucky i'm at work and bored lol. they traded the #41 pick in 2015 which the rangers somehow got a hold of and drafted this kid. who's putting up some good stats in the whl

still the first guy is two years away if ever and the second kid is even longer away then that. which is why i will always trade picks for nhl talent. sure the pick can turn into something but when?

Luckily, if we are dealing with a team at risk from the expansion draft or a cap strapped team, they're trading at a disadvantage. They have no choice but to sell for pennies on the dollar. We're in a real good spot.

exactly! i'm excited for the expansion draft because hey we have a lot of dead wood anyway so go ahead veggas pick who you want it will only help us.


but i am not going to get my hopes up that you will see shero make a trade. i feel like everyone talks this stuff up then nothing happens. i really hope i'm wrong

Shero has made trades in his first/last two drafts.... Pal n Bennett....

maybe something else will come about. Being a top pick, I'm sure we could entice someone as well as bring in more.

yeah they aren't shipping seth jones out for just the 2nd. they just paid ryan johansen for him. goes to show you what the going rate for centers are in the nhl.


whats nice is the devils have the #1 pick in the third round thanks to the eric gelinas trade. and picking in the top 5 of each round is pretty nice

I think the Rangers thing is BS. Even if true there is so much working against that move it seems highly unlikely. Rangers don't have the cap, they don't have the picks or prospects and even if they did it would require us to trade a weapon to a hated rival. Makes little sense when you break it down.

Would be smart for Isles, I think Tavares and Kovy would compliment each other well. All depends how willing Shero is to move within division.

Realistically though, there has to be a team loaded with prospects that needs a vet presence to round out the top 6, push them over the hump. A team like say the Coyotes, that have an over abundance of prospects. Need to find a team like that to move him to.
