I agree with Sparhawk that Tatum's ceiling is not very high. He should become a solid, but unspectacular player. I'd rather go with another guy with a high ceiling. I disagree with Spar that the lottery is on the up and up. Just look at what they did for Cleveland a few years ago. Yeah, right!

I wonder if they've been intentionally unclear on how Simmons will be used.

Brett was pretty clear he wants to have him run the point. How long he wants to try that out if it doesn't look promising, I don't know.

If Simmons will be running the Point then I'm assuming we will prefer shooting type Guards or Wings (since Simmons isn't a shooter). I do think Fultz is the top guy on our board regardless.

So, Fultz and Ball likely 1 and 2 to Boston and LA ... then we take either SF Josh Jackson (whom came on really strong after a mediocre start and would be a great fit) or PG De'Aaron Fox unless we're set on running the Point with Simmons (I'd rather have Simmons as a Point Forward with Fox running true Point).

I would be happy with Jackson or Fox. Just don't do something stupid like drafting Monk #3. Seems like Fox will rise as the draft gets closer and if the top 2 go as planned he could be a real option at 3.

I can see Fox as being one of those guys who's shot will really improve in the pros. Workaholic ... has really good form, just never had to master it due to being so damn good off the dribble.

The Lakers unprotected pick next year is going to be solid gold. They will still suck with Ball next year, one of the top 3 worst in the league I'd guess. If you haven't seen video of Luka Doncic, check it out now. I'm glad we didn't get it.

I'm stoked to end up with Jackson or Fox, but have a bad feeling in my gut Colangelo is going to waste the pick on Monk.

I've soured a little on Monk ... still a good prospect and worthy of a lottery pick due to his shot range, but he's undersized for a 2, isn't good defensively and isn't as versatile as Fox or Jackson who can get it done on both ends of the court. It wouldn't shock me if the Lakers end up passing on Ball and take Fox or Jackson at 2. Any way you slice it we're good at 3.

I like how the 76ers have drafted 3rd 3 times in the last 4 years and the Lakers have drafted 2nd 3 times in the last 4 years, but only the 76ers get shit for tanking.

Abundance of riches for next year as we will have our pick, the unprotected Lakers' pick and SG/SF Furkan Korkmaz likely coming over from Europe. Korkmaz has been developing extremely well and shooting a very high percentage from 3's. Hell, he may even be bought out this upcoming season, but I don't think the Sixers are in a huge hurry to do that right now. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Sixers have the ammo to trade to #1 if they fall in love with Markelle Fultz.
