Roger Craig. He gets the nod for his superior running, pass receiving and blocking. Still, I think, the only RB in NFL history to both rush and receive for over a thousand yards in the same season.

Oh. I thought his biggest season was 89 when they won the second of back-to-back titles. My memory ain't what it was and I'm way to lazy to go look it up.Craig was one sexy assed, high stepping man beast, but his best seasons came before 88.

LT and Smith over Faulk, lol
Looking at his stats, his top two rushing seasons were 88 and 89 but his year of thousand yards rushing and receiving together was 1985. I neve forgave him for his fumble while running out the clock in the NFC championship game against the Giants which caused them a shot to 3-peat in the 1990 Super BowlHe had an excellent 88/89 season and a fairly good 89/90 season. Most of his best work came prior to 88 though.
The game that made Bo a legend was the Seattle game in 87 where he had 221 yards and 2 runs over 90 yards.
What is lost is it was his only 100 yard game that season. Of the 7 games he played he had..
21 carries for 70 yards
9 for 25
13 for 31
14 for49.
He had far more average to below average games than good games.
He was fast and powerful, but not patient or elusive.
Didn't join the team until week 8 and shared the backfield with HOFer Marcus Allen.

PS i would have added AP but he cant catch a cold.
If Smith almost always went forward why did he finish his career w/ a 4.2 average? Sanders finished w/ a 5.0 average.
Change of heart.
Marcus Allen. I don't know about know, but at one time. I believe he was the only player in NFL history with 10,000 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards. Oh, and he could block as well.
