That's why it shouldn't have been called a TO in the first place.

Notice it took 5 full seconds to get a ruling initially.

The ball was coming loose while mariota was still falling to the ground. The defender got control of it first. It was clearly a turnover and everyone else who saw it agrees. Sorry, you don't get it, but it was the correct call.

This Oregon team is simply not as good as the dominant teams of the last 4 seasons.
I think they were coasting on their recent success a bit.


The defense is bad by their own standards.
The offensive line is really really bad by their own standards.


They are still very good and likely a top 15 team, but they are not a top 5 super-team like they have been for a few years.
