The overwhelming majority of us couldn't care less about college hockey. You're wasting characters by mentioning it.

Similarly, I could talk about Oregon's cross country dominance. No one cares.

You and/or your parents probably cared when the US Olympic team beat the USSR team in 1980.

20 players, NINE were former Gophers, as was the Coaching staff. 12 native Minnesotans.

Miracle on Ice, you know? ;)

TBH, I've never looked for college hockey on TV. I imagine they show the Frozen Four, and maybe have some programming on Espn the Ocho, but the ratings must be incredibly poor if it is shown at all.

As for Cross Country stars at Oregon making big bucks, I suspect that they earn no less than what college hockey players at Minnesota are making.

If you are bound and determined to compare PROFESSIONAL salaries, then certainly tennis and golf stars have incredible earning potential, but again, no one on this board cares.
I love college hockey, MN hasn't done shit since 2002 (I think). Top MN players go to CU, UMD, and SCSU.

They didn't win the Title in 2003? lol

They didn't make the Frozen Four a couple times after that?

Dude, you obviously don't have a clue what is going on in college hockey. NONE of the blue bloods are doing well anymore. The NHL swoops in and takes all their best players, and all the non-blue blood programs take turns making title runs with senior laden teams.

Totally different game now than it was in 2002.

You have former CC stars making 8 million a year??? lol

UMn had more former players playing in the NHL the last 2 years than any other school.

Reading comprehension is your friend. No current college cross country athletes are making less than current college hockey players.

Additionally, if money=popularity, then NASCAR and Golf > Hockey.

Do you have any lakes in Oregon, or just piles of shit on the sidewalks from all the homeless?

Of course Oregon has lakes. Minnesota may have more lakes, but certainly Oregon's are more beautiful.
