This is not easy. Comparing different eras, schemes, teammates for QB, and competition.

Still will be fun. Remember, this is according to you. Up for debate as well.

10 is a lot. You'll be going back like 15-20 years just if you went last 10 QB's.

My attempt at the top 10 QBs for UGA:

1. Aaron Murray, did everything you could ask for from a statistical point. Won SEC East twice. Spot here would've been cemented if UGA could've beat Bama in 2012. I think most fans will look back on him in this way.

2. Fran Tarkenton. College Football HoF. NFL HoF, for what it's worth. Great athlete that will probably at the top of most UGA fans' lists.

3. David Greene. Good career numbers, SEC Offensive Player of the Year in 2002. 2002 SEC Champ. Let as winningest QB in NCAA history

4. Eric Zeier. Left school as most prolific passer in SEC history. Not a great team during his time there, but put up gaudy numbers.

5. Matt Stafford. I think by far the best talent we've had at QB. QB for the 2007 team I think was best in the country. Pretty good numbers while in Athens.

6. DJ Shockley. One year starter, but he was excellent. I would wager it was the best single season a UGA QB has had, though Murray's junior season would challenge it.

7. Jon Rauch. Historians will have him higher I'm sure. College football HoF. Set NCAA Career passing marks. But he played in a completely different version of football so he's hard to compare.

8. Buck Belue. 1980 National Champ. Was a pretty good athlete. The NC and throw to Scott put him up here.

9. Zeke Bratkowski. Much like Rauch in that Historians will like the 1950s player more than me. Also set the NCAA career passing yardage record.

10. Mike Bobo. Good player, but not a great one. Threw for over 6,000 yards and nearly 40 TDs. Did beat Florida during their biggest string of dominance over us.

I love top 10 lists. Great things I remember about all the Duck QBs I have listed starting with Miller in 84.

I was 8, first one I remember.

First UGA quarterback I remember watching was Quincy Carter when I was 7 or 8. Things got better quickly with Greene lol

Oregon had a 12 year span where we had 3 starting qbs.

Well, we had the Andrew Zow / Tyler Watts thing about 10+ years ago. But I don't think I can think of another time when we had such. Maybe if you count David Palmer as a QB, but he was really just a wildcat type QB before they had a name for it.

No, I meant 3 - 4 year starters. Lots of 3 and 4 year starters so the list is made easier.

From 1983 on I can remember the starting qbs off the top of my head all the way til today without hesitation.

Oh I can name 10 QB's. Ordering them might not be so easy.

We aren't really QB University but I have high hopes with Malzahn he seems to be getting some great QB talent.
