I think the bet ( per the quotes ) was intended to be for the end of the year but there is a case to be made that the phrasing suggests now. However intent matters even inspite of the incorrect tense used.

However even with that the whole thing really hinges on whether you think Bama wins this week or not. Given an 11 game gap and the fact Bamas remaining opponents are only 6 games better than UCFs it highly unlikely they would make up that 5 remaining games without a berth in the sec title game but almost a certainty they would if they do
