The way I make it, I'd give it a 6 on a scale of 1-10 heat factor. But it can always be made spicier - depends on the crowd who'll be wolfing it down.

Every year we watch it together and usually we are at the In-Laws place. Not this year. I had an out - taking the grandsons to a Mavs game Monday night and I wasn’t going to mess around with driving 4 hours back to our place on Monday morning just to turn around and drive back to Dallas that afternoon.

As far as watching it with her - it’s the annual “it’s rigged” seminar. Can’t wait.

Every year we watch it together and usually we are at the In-Laws place. Not this year. I had an out - taking the grandsons to a Mavs game Monday night and I wasn’t going to mess around with driving 4 hours back to our place on Monday morning just to turn around and drive back to Dallas that afternoon.

When I used to watch every playoff hockey game (and that is a lot) she never watched those either. I really enjoy watching in peace and quiet on my schedule.

Ribs… Tri tip… Wings… and homemade tater salad along with the complementary dips & chips when everyone gets together. As we’ll be flying solo this year - probably just wings from the local Wing Stop. I ain’t spending hours messing around with the grill.

Yeah like I said earlier we’re preparing a couple appetizers but we’re ordering food, it’ll just be wife, child and myself so it’s easy mode just to order.

We do the more extensive cooking when we have people over but we just want a relaxing weekend.

A few years ago, we got fancy and made one of those football stadium snack islands, like this. It took some work to make the stadium, but the real problem was that it was simply too much food. We had friends over, but it was still a lot.
