Idk...I'm just not sure if it would be my kinda thang

I've only been to 3. :ohwell:

*All 3 were heavy metal shows and I was in the pit for all 3 and lived, that's gotta count for something.

Not sure of the order, but the first three were the Eagles in '77 (Hotel Cali tour), and John Denver and America.

In 1977 I saw Steve Miller Band, Charlie Daniels Band, Eric Clapton, Blue Oyster Cult and some nasty group called Nazareth. Or was that Ted Nugent?

LOL he was probably a d-bag and deserved it.

One of them did. In the other one's case, the puncher was the douche and hit this other guy pretty much out of nowhere. He got his ass drug the fuck out of there by his neck quick, fast and in a hurry. The guy who got punched looked like he was 14 and probably shouldn't have been in the pit at a Slipknot/Lamb of God concert but did nothing deserving of a nose punch.

I had a chance to go, my older sisters friends were going and asked me to go too. Was only 13, couldn't mow enough lawns to get the cash..

Great White with Warrant. I was 14. My buddies cool older cousin took us.

The original by Ian Hunter is much better IMO

Credit to packerzrule for the idea.

My first show was The Doobie Brothers at the Carolina Coliseum (circa '80-82). I was in the middle of a football game and my coach came and told me that my Mom was there to pick me up because there was a death in the family. So I go with my Mom and start walking to the car when she tells me that we're going to a concert. I get in the car and she had me a change of clothes and my aunt with her. I must say an awesome first show for a 10-12 year old. I'm still a big Doobie Brothers fan to this day because of it.

awesome thread tiger

I sense a top 10 concerts thread in the near future :)

Yeah, we were like 8 feet from the stage with a shit ton of security standing between the stage and crowd. Security doesn't mess around when it comes to stuff like that at these concerts, especially right in front of their faces.
