By default because we are early in the year. Only 4-5 teams have really played anyone of substance and beaten them, hence why my top 4 are the way they are. Wisconsin is not a top 5 team, if that's what you're getting at.

Wisconsin dominated 2 shit teams and a bad Michigan team who is always overrated to start the season and who could barely beat Army and Mid Tennessee State. Sorry, Wisconsin doesn't get much credit for that in my book. Clemson, Auburn, LSU and Georgia are the clear top teams for me. Here's a more accurate depiction of what I think the top 5 should be.

If Wisconsin is still undefeated when November rolls around, I will consider them a top 4 team, until then Ohio State is the only contender from the B1G. There are no Pac contenders, nor any ACC contenders not named Clemson. That leaves Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia, put them in any order, doesn't make much difference at this point. I will be shocked if the playoffs field is not made up of 4 of those 9 teams.

Of all the unbeatens only 11 have an argument to be top 5 imo.

Clemson - defending champ , win over A&M

Bama - runner up last year , dominating vs no one of note

LSU - win over Texas

UGA - win over ND

Wisky - win over Michigan

Cal - win over Washington

Penn St- win over Pitt

Iowa - win at Iowa St


Auburn - wins over Oregon and A&M

Ohio St- dominating vs no one of note

Oklahoma - playoff last year unbeaten vs no one of note
