Yeah, how will they ever live without an average outfielder.

The offense should regress and they won't match last year's record, but that pitching staff should be among the best in the league again. They should run away with the Central once again.

Well, if youre telling me that the Indians are replacing Bruce with Lonnie Chsienhaal every day, Id call it a significant downgrade

if Bradley Zimmer is expected to be ready to go, it shouldnt hurt that much

But I agree, the Central shouldnt be a contest

Brewers win NL-C.
Mets win NL-E.
Dodgers win NL-W.
Yankees win AL-E.
Mariners win AL-W.
Indians win AL-C.

Cubs and Giants win NL WC.
Astros and Jays win AL WC.

After that, I pick the team that hosts more games in a domed stadium.

Interesting

I think the Tribe is trending the wrong way

Losing Bruce and Santana, replacing them with only Alonso, I'm not loving that offense

Losing Bruce? He played a quarter of the season and slashed .248/.331/.477/.808/108 OPS+. That's not irreplaceable. A bounce-back season from Kipnis would provide that and more.

There's also Brantley, but having had his third surgery in two years last October, I wouldn't count on too much from him.

Check out Carlos Santana's & Yonder Alonso's slash lines from last year:

CS - .259/.363/.455/.818/112 OPS+
YA - .266/.365/.501/.866/133 OPS+

Barring catastrophe, they should make the playoffs and then the key will be Kluber's back. He's got to be healthy for the postseason.

Zimmer should be ready.

Also, they don't need to replace Bruce "everyday," only 43 of them. The Indians scored 818 runs last year and Bruce only drove in 3% of them.

Still got some offseason to go, but right now I'd go with:

AL East:
Yankees
Red Sox (WC1)
Blue Jays
Rays
Orioles

AL Central:
Indians
Twins
White Sox
Tigers
Royals

pretty brutal after the Twins, and even they're not looking so great now.

AL West:
Astros
Angels (WC2)
Mariners
Athletics (I think they finish around/just below .500 and have one of the best offenses in the AL. Pitching's another story, but there is some upside in that rotation)
Rangers

NL East:
Nats
Mets
Phillies
Braves
Marlins

NL Central:
Cubs
Cardinals (WC1)
Brewers
Reds
Pirates

NL West:
Dodgers
Diamondbacks (WC2)
Giants
Rockies
Padres

I could see there being four .500+ teams in the NL West though I think the Dodgers will be the only ones with 90+ (and they run away with the division).

AL MVP - Mike Trout
Non-Trout AL MVP - Mookie Betts
AL CYA - Corey Kluber
AL RoY - Brent Honeywell

NL MVP - Corey Seager
NL CYA - Noah Syndergaard
NL RoY - Ronald Acuna

AL WC:
Red Sox over Angels

NL WC:
Diamondbacks over Cardinals

ALDS:
Astros over Red Sox
Indians over Yankees

NLDS:
Cubs over Diamondbacks
Dodgers over Nats

ALCS:
Astros over Indians

NLCS:
Cubs over Dodgers

WS:
Astros over Cubs

I'm clueless.
