They're going to play hockey. There will be 20 men per team. There will be shooting and fighting and refs screwing one team or the other or both but not neither. Somebody might even score a goal. God, I hope it's us.

The Flyers have lost three straight and are probably missing their point leader Simmonds after he recklessly used his face to bash in John Erskine's elbow. No penalty was called on the play but Simmonds will likely face a Shanaban for elbowed-ing.

The Canes are coming off a 1-0 shutout of Ottawa, and have won three of their last four, the cheating bastards. They are also somehow worse than the Flyers on the power play, which I'm not sure is mathematically possible.

As you might be able to tell, I'm a little grouchy, a trend which may or may not worsen depending on the outcome of this game. Let's all cheer for Philly (and that includes you Bizz if you ever want your son to speak to you again).
