In addition, to being a negative asshole, you are fucking bore. You must be something with the ladies. By the way, are you still hoping the Bengals lose out to get a better draft pick? You spend your entire fucking life living on this website, and you actually hope the Bengals lose so you can be "right" about them. How fucking insane is that. Get a grip dude. And take a break from the SportsHoopla to try to find a date. Good luck with that one.

I think Luck might be a special talent.... He was a can't miss prospect and he looks like he'll be a transcendent player. If he stays healthy, he'll have a long career with a huge winning percentage.

I don't think Dalton will ever be in that class, but I think he has the potential to be a top 10 quarterback in this league and I think he has the ability to play for over a decade and probably win many more games than he loses.

Luck is amazing and the fuckin' Colts so don't deserve him. Fans around here (I live in 'Colts Country'...what a joke) were butt hurt over Manning leaving and many became Broncos fans. The rest just didn't want to bother with the rebuilding process because they were spoiled. They didn't follow anything with the new regime, draft, etc.

Now...that rebuild has been accelerated to one down year and 10-12 years with Luck as the franchise. This "fanbase" does not deserve such a blessing. Can ya tell I'm bitter?

It's a hypothetical.

Crash went on record a day or two ago saying he would root for his team to win the last game of the regular season even if it meant losing out on drafting Luck.

I will never root for a loss no matter what the situation is and who is potentially there to get.

I root for this team now, not a future team. You live for the moment, not live for the future which may or may never show up. Because you never know when your time is up. I am selfish. I want to see wins, I want to win now, damn the future.

Besides, with Mike and Marvin, you never know when a big blunder is goign to show up.

They almost drafted Terrance Newman or Byron Leftwich over Palmer. Looking back, we were much better in those years with Palmer, but seeing how things have turned out for Palmer, he is not the answer to anything.

Live for the wins now, get them while you can, because you never know when another 2-14 season is around the corner.

I think Luck is awesome, but I am not going to root against my favorite team just so they have a chance to draft a college football player.

Yep that's why the Steelers are 5th for most penalized this year.

It was real one sided in the first game.

Steelers 5
BenGals 2

Solid post!

Give Andrew Luck AJ Green to throw it to and any kind of run game at all and his numbers would be astronomical. He's made Reggie Wayne a top 5 WR at the age of 73 and is must-see TV at the end of a close game. His poise, intelligence, arm strength, pocket presence, and abilities are already elite. He's going to be an all-pro for a long time.

I still would never root for the Bengals to lose a game.

Because the next year you are right back to the same crap. Hope we lose this game so we have a chance at so and so. It could become an endless vicious cycle like it has been for so long already.

Eventually, you find yourself rooting against the Bengals all teh time instead of rooting for them, and watching college football more frequently just so you can scout who you want them to take in the top 5 the following year.

Okay.... Maybe not many more, but I think the Bengals will continue to be average to above average for the foreseeable future. I don't have much faith in their ability to win postseason games though -- Marvin Lewis won't allow it.

Very slowly, things are starting to seep through to Marvin. He's gone for it on fourth down (and successfully) much more than before, and he even allows his very creative O/C to actually be creative on occasion. Could he finally be getting it????? If so it only took ten years.....

But let's see if he continues to do it against teams that are clearly better than us when he can't fall back on his defense. We haven't had one of those teams in a while with the exception of the Giants, but that's when the team was on life support.

Me thinks if we get into the playoffs, the same old conservative Marvin will be back. Let's see what he does against Pittsburgh when the playoffs will be on the line, or the Ravens if that game means anything to us.

Luck is awesome. Think about it. He has one decent receiver, no OL, no running game, no defense, and is asked to win games pretty much by himself. He's throwing 50 passes nearly every week, and is forced to win shootouts. He's bound to throw some picks under such a situation. Did you see the TD he threw running to the left, with a flick of his wrist, to get the Colts back in against Detroit? Totally awesome throw, one that Dalton will never make on his best day. Put a team around Luck and he's definitely able to take them all the way right now. I like Dalton, and I think he's got a bright future here, but he's never going to be elite, and Luck is already. It's a talent thing. Dalton is good, but Luck is gifted.

This is my favorite argument. I agree with it wholeheartedly, but apparently Bengals fans are only allowed to use it if the QB's name isn't Carson Palmer. Otherwise you're a fanboy. Not that Palmer is Luck, because he isn't. He's not half the QB Luck is. I just find it interesting.

I'm enamoured with Andrew Luck. I'm a draft geek and stated over and over that he was the best prospect that I've seen since I've been paying close attention to the draft. How lucky are the colts to transition from Manning to Luck? And yes, I think Luck was a better QB prospect leaving college than Manning (either of em'). The guy is amazing. RGIII is amazing as well, but the Colts made the right choice at #1. A no brainer...and how shitty must it be to be a Chiefs fan. All this death around the franchise and you will likely be at the very top of the draft. Last year you had Luck and RGIII...this year Geno Smith and Matt Barkley. Talk about a drop off. Bad year to be at the top.

Most of what I said about Marvin was in jest. I fully expect the Bengals to choke against both Pittsburgh and Baltimore. If they don't, well, maybe that's a true sign they HAVE improved. Year in and year out they at least have to have an even shot against both, since that's the division they're in. Year in and year out, not once every three or four years.

I really like that he through in the "ladies" comment.
I mean, think about it. I'm really something with the ladies... or at least I would be, if I wasn't 42, going bald, married with 2 kids, and didn't already have Peyronie's disease, which hurts like heck by the way, although I'm good right now. Then there's the lactose intolerance. Yea, the ladies, lol, that's what its all about right now, :P
