Free Agent after this year. Unrestricted.

he is gone in KC, there is no passing game.

could you even begin to imagine him with Green? He is exactly what they would need.

I believe the Bengals should have around 30 Million to spend, so getting Andre and Pac Man back would be huge. But, with the draft picks, some other FAs, they would still have PLENTY of room to make one big FA splash.

As far as I can recall, the biggest FA the bengals have ever signed since I have been alive was a 36 year old TO. Or Maybe when they signed Odom. Lol. Oh ya, Coles and Larry Johnson

he's a great player, but I can't imagine the Bengals putting in the best bid..

some team (TB, Minnesota, Chicago etc) will probably throw him a crazy deal to be their #1. he'd be more of a luxury here than a need since Green is already established...

WR's definatley an option with one of the 1st rd picks

I would simply love that, but remember, we're still talking about Mike Brown.....just don't see it happening....

Bowe is extremely good, but we really need more of a solid #2 than another #1.

How do we figure to have $30 million to spend?

We also have to keep in mind Dalton and Green will be in for extensions pretty quick.

It seems like it was reported at like $19 million just before the season. I could be wrong though.

Is that with Rivers off the Books and Andre making less? I think that saves like 9 million right there

Also, didnt that iunclude Palmer?

They extended Whitworth and Hall right before the season...

that might be the difference in the numbers

Palmer wasn't being paid, so his wasn't counted in. I'm not sure about Rivers, but he's on the active roster now, so if it wasn't counted at the time, it is counted now.

The Whitworth extension was pointless. we had him locked up for all of his prime seasons. most great Tackles of this era were done by their early 30's. just seemed like they were appeasing a "team guy' and a "leader"

For this years class I wouldnt mind them bringing back all those guys with the exception of Benson. They provide good depth and arent doing to break the bank. I'd prioritize Nelson, Simpson and Sims..probably look at extending MJ now.

if they want to keep any of those unrestricted free agents that are any good, they need to get about it.

...

they might want to give big red a raise and keep him happy, but I don't think they will.

People keep saying we need to sign a solid #2 guy and not a #2 but look at the FA list and give me a #2 that is available. All the guys I've seen are either #1's or #3 and #4 WR's. I see no #2 type guys.

I don't want to sign a big named WR to a big contract, when we could invest in other positions.

I'm just saying that there are no #2 WR's available. Simpson is the best option that I have seen.

I think we are goign to invest in a good solid RB first, before a great #2 WR. We are a WCO offense, and with Dalton's limited arm strength, and the fact tehy are not goign to want him throwing the ball 40 times a game, (remember Shipley will be back next year, you have Green, and Gresham still), they will protect Dalton and try to balance our offense.

I say we eitehr go big in FA on a RB, or sign one in the draft in rounds 1-2.
