Just about the time I started watching baseball as a little kid.....

Was the year of the Bucky Dent home run.

I caught the latter stages of Yaz's career.

He is having a fine year. But ultimately he is a 4th OF starting on a crap team. If he logs 3 full MLB seasons (1500 ABs), I will be surprised.

That's my gut feeling as well.

Tonight is a very cool game though, that home run was one of my favorite moments of the season despite it coming against us. it's one of those moments that had to happen.

This game is great for BASEBALL. The Boston fans have been great, cheering him at every opportunity.

I just wish Sandoval hadn’t blown out his elbow. It would have been awesome to have both of them in the game and to see the contrast between the two reactions.

Well he did have that homer and a double so I was some what close. But yeah, had no idea he was 29! Yikes

Pretty neat moment to have Yaz throw the first pitch to his grandson.

Also, a class act for the Boston fans to applaud Yaz's home run
